Akira's POV

After our daring escape from Rio and the encounter with Hobbs, we were granted a brief moment of peace before I had to make my next move.

And that next move? Attending Queenie's party.

Queenie, my godmother and a powerhouse in the underworld, was throwing an extravagant event to celebrate the grand opening of her club, Aphrodite.

And, of all places, it was happening in Tokyo—my home turf.

Amid the organized chaos inside the clan house, I continued my search for the missing Versace watch. "Aki!!! Akihiko, where's my watch?!" I called out frustrated.

Akihiko, ever the picture of calm as the clan head, barely seemed affected by the chaos swirling around us. "It should be there. Just search properly," he replied with an unbothered tone.

I began rifling through drawers, sifting through jewelry boxes, and checking all the usual hiding spots, hoping it hadn't slipped away.

After what felt like an eternity of searching, my eyes caught the gleam of the Versace watch, tucked beneath a pile of silk scarves. Relief flooded me as I snatched it up.

"I found it!" I exclaimed, holding it up in triumph for Aki to see. He turned toward me with a satisfied grin. "See? Patience pays off,"

"That's exactly why I told you not to let anyone into my room!" I groaned,. "Well, someone's gotta clean your mess," he shrugged, completely unbothered.

I stomped downstairs into the living room, where a group of men surrounded a table. At the head sat Grandpa, sipping tea like he wasn't running the entire underworld.

"Grandpa, I'm heading to a party," I announced. He barely looked up, clearly preoccupied. "I'm in the middle of something important. We'll talk later."

"No, Grandpa. I'm leaving right now," I pressed.

With a heavy sigh, he gave in. "Fine. Take some guards with you."

I broke into a grin, leaning down to kiss his cheek and hug him tightly. "Thank you! Love you, bye!" I chirped, dashing out before he could change his mind.
