Akira's POV

We were at Brian's house when I asked Dom to stay back with me. I was sitting nervously on the sofa, my hands sweating like I'd just run a marathon.

'Come on Akira, they deserve to know, Oh my god, I'm freaking out!'

A few minutes later, Dom and Brian sat across from me. I glanced around, half-expecting someone to pop out of nowhere.

"Relax," Brian said with a reassuring smile. "It's just us. Jack and Mia are knocked out cold."

"So, what's this 'important stuff' you had to tell us?" Dom asked, leaning forward. I fiddled with my hands, staring down at them like they held a secret. "I don't even know where to start."

"Take your time," Dom said, his calm voice steadying me.

"Actually I don't even know how it all happened." I exhaled sharply and just blurted it out. "There's a guy I'm in love with."

Brian's eyes lit up. "Finally! I thought Jack was gonna stay single forever!" he teased as if implying he wanted our kids to marry.

Dom smirked. "Who's the lucky guy?"

My nerves kicked in, and I hesitated. "Yea.. Yeah... about that."

Brian jumped in with his usual antics. "Wait, don't tell me—it's Hobbs, isn't it?"

I shook my head, fighting back tears.

"Okay, okay. Is it... the Prince?" Brian pressed again, half-laughing.

Another head shake.

Then Dom looked me straight in the eye. "Is it... Deckard Shaw?"

I froze as I gave a tiny nod.

Brian's jaw dropped. "You're serious... about him?"

"I'm sure," I whispered, barely getting the words out. "Is it bad?"

Brian immediately pulled me into a hug, his arms wrapping around me like a safety net. "C'mere," he said softly, letting me sob against his chest.

"I'm sorry," I choked out between tears. "I didn't mean for this to happen! It was too late before I even realized—"

"Shh, it's okay," he said, rubbing my back. "Breathe. You're fine."

"I'm the worst aren't I?" I pulled away slightly, a fresh wave of guilt hitting me. "I fell in love with the guy who killed my friend," I sobbed.

"Hey, hey. It's not your fault," Brian said, trying to calm me down. "But he's not even my type! I don't even know how this happened!" I cried, my voice breaking.

Dom chuckled, shaking his head. "It's fine. We'll back you, no matter who it is."

I blinked at him, sniffing. "You mean that?"

"Of course. But seriously, stop crying. You know Han wouldn't want to see you like this," Dom said with a small smile.

"You guys are way too good for me," I said, wiping my tears.

"Nope, it's the other way around," Dom replied, pulling me into a group hug.

"I love you guys," I said, my voice muffled by Brian's shoulder.

We stayed like that for a moment before saying our goodbyes.

"Sammy, slow down! Pass the ball to your teammates!" I shouted across the field. She did, and bam—goal.

I blew the whistle, signaling the end of practice. "Alright, girls, that's it for today. Keep playing like this, and the summer tryouts are ours," I said with a grin.
