Akira's POV

Later that night, we all headed to Safar's garage, and it didn't take long for him to start. "Ah! Look who decided to show up. Chaos Incarnate," he said, throwing his hands up dramatically.

"Sorry about that," Ramsey offered, looking genuinely sheepish.

Safar raised an eyebrow. "Let me get this straight. I hook you up with an invite to the most exclusive party in Abu Dhabi, and what do you do? You steal the host's car and yeet it between two buildings."

"Uh, actually, it was three buildings," Brian corrected, smirking.

Safar blinked, then shrugged. "Oh! Two, disrespect. Three? Now, that's a flex. My bad." Before I could chime in, Mr. Nobody made his entrance, strolling in like he owned the place.

"Well, well, well. Dom, I've got to admit, you've got a... unique definition of keeping things low-key. I thought we had an understanding."

Dom didn't flinch. "Sometimes you've got to play the hand you're dealt." Mr. Nobody gave a wry smile. "That's why I prefer being the dealer. Goodnight, Safar," he said, not-so-subtly dismissing him.

Safar held up his hands. "Ah, getting booted from my own garage. Fantastic. I'll leave you to your spy movie antics."

Once Safar left, Mr. Nobody turned to Dom. "May I?" he asked, nodding toward the chip. Dom motioned to Brian, who handed it over.

Mr. Nobody held the chip up, examining it. "All that drama for something smaller than a thumb drive. Gotta say, though, Dom, you pulled it off. Hell of a job. All of you. My team's ready to back you up. Your move."

Dom didn't waste a second. "Ramsey, fire it up. Find me Shaw." Ramsey nodded and got to work, typing furiously at the monitors. Rome leaned over her shoulder. "What's it doing now?"

She didn't even look up. "It's hunting."

Mr.Nobody's officer disappeared for a moment and returned with my drink. As I sipped it, I sighed dramatically. "Mr. Nobody, will you marry me?"

He raised an eyebrow, grinning. "Sorry, kid. I'm taken."

"Ah, lucky woman," I replied wistfully.

He leaned in slightly. "Not to mention, I have a daughter who's almost your age." I choked on my drink, laughing awkwardly. "Oh. Well, um, my bad."

"That's him," Brian interrupted, pointing at the screen. The monitor displayed Shaw entering an elevator, then sitting at a counter. Then that scene played—the one with the kiss.

All eyes snapped to me. Rome, of course, was the first to open his big mouth. "Why didn't you shove him off like you did that prince?"

"I tried!" I protested, throwing my hands up. "But then he bit me and bolted!"

"And you just let him go?" Rome pressed.

I glared at him, my patience officially out the window. "Bro, maybe watch the whole clip before popping off! I literally kicked him off the building. What more do you want?"

Brian snickered, and Ramsey chimed in. "Bingo. He's holed up in this abandoned factory."

"Perfect," Brian said, leaning in. "Automated factory. No people. Plenty of places to hide."

Mr. Nobody looked genuinely impressed. "Congratulations, folks. You just redefined manhunting. Dawn's in two hours. Go gear up—we move at first light."

"Great. I need a shower. I feel disgusting," I muttered and headed to my room to shower and change. When I came back in comfy clothes, gun in hand, Dom was talking to Mr. Nobody.
