Akira's POV

I was at the airport waiting for Brian and his family

I was at the airport waiting for Brian and his family. The terminal was buzzing with activity, but it all faded the moment I spotted them. "Aunt Akkii!" Jack's voice rang out as he ran toward me.

"Jackieee!" I scooped him up, spinning him around while he giggled uncontrollably. "I missed you!" he said, planting a kiss on my cheek.

"I missed you too, little man," I replied, holding him close before setting him down. Once everyone was gathered, we piled into the car and headed for the apartment.

The drive was full of chatter, and when we finally arrived at the terrace, the familiar smell of grilled food greeted us. Everyone was already seated, plates in hand.

"Well, look who finally decided to show up," Rome teased, his grin widening. Brian walked over smugly. "Heyy, Roman! How've you been, man?" he said, pulling him into a bro-hug.

As introductions and reunions went on, I felt a tiny pair of arms wrap around my torso from behind. I looked down to see Sammy grinning up at me.

"Sammy!" I exclaimed, picking her up. "What's up, kiddo?"

"Daddy's staying home!" she said, clapping her hands excitedly.

I glanced over at Luke, who gave a small nod. "That's amazing, Sam!" I said, beaming at her before setting her down.

She skipped off to join the others when I heard a familiar voice behind me.

"Ahem! Ahem!"

Turning around, I saw Dom, Deckard, and Owen standing there, looking as smug as ever.

"Owennn," I sang dramatically, throwing my arms out.

"Akiraaa," Owen replied in kind, his grin matching mine.

We both started toward each other like it was some epic reunion scene—until I swung my fist and punched him square in the chest.

"How dare yoy—"

Before I could finish, he tried to kick me, but I blocked it with ease.

"Do I still punch like shit?" I asked, after a pause we chuckled and broke into a hug.

"I missed you," he said, his voice softer.

"Yeah, and I'm blonde," I teased, hugging him tightly.

After a moment, I pulled back and touched the scars lining his face. "Does it still hurt?"

"No," he said, leaning into my touch.

"You know," I said with a smirk, "the scars make you look kind of hot."

He rolled his eyes. "Don't lie."

"I'm serious. You were totally my type back in the day. Too bad you had to grow up and become a bastard."
