CHAPTER 3

ALPHA DRAGO

I COULDN'T THINK clearly for a moment.
Since Miss Unna informed us that the Alpha had arrived, I've felt uneasy and a little restless.

Ida is saying something, but I can't quite understand the words coming from her mouth. I feel like I'm not myself as I prepare the ingredients for my cooking.

What is wrong with me?

I should concentrate and not let my emotions take over. Then I came to a halt, realizing that I had no idea what to cook for him. I mentally smacked my forehead. I should've asked Miss Unna before she left.

"Rees, anong lulutuin natin?" tanong ni Ida.

I bit my lower lip and poke my tongue in my inner cheek. "I honestly don't know. Ngayon pa lang ako magluluto para sa Alpha."

Pinalubo ni Ida and pisngi saka nagsalita. "Ikaw, Rees, anong paborito mong pagkain?" she asked while leaning on the table.

Nagtaka naman ako sa tanong niya pero kalaunan ay sinagot ko siya.

"Alright. Let's cook chicken with cream and butter!" Ida exclaimed which made my eyes widen.

"A-Are you serious?! Paano kung ayaw ng A-Alpha? Let's just ask Miss Unna. Maybe she knows what to cook."

Ida shook her head and squeezed my shoulders. "Wala ng oras. Baka pagalitan lang tayo 'pag natagalan tayo sa pagluto kaya kumilos na tayo."

Ida is right so I was left with no choice but to agree. I also made a vegetable salad. After preparing his meal, we quickly took it to the dining.

Habang isa-isa naming nilalagay ang pagkain sa lamesa ay biglang nagpaalam saglit si Ida dahil naiwan daw ang dessert sa kusina.

After I finished preparing the table, I noticed that something was missing, the rose I took earlier! I roamed around my eyes and a smile formed my lips when I spotted a small vase.

Hindi naman siguro magagalit ang Alpha kung maglagay ako ng kaunting palamuti sa lamesa.

Next time, I'll place more roses in the dining and if the other flowers will bloom maybe I can ask Lady Farrah to place some of them in the mansion.

Since everything is all set, I decided to leave but just as I was about to open the door, I heard Miss Unna's voice and she was talking with someone.

"Mabuti at nakabalik ka na. Wala si Lady Farrah dahil nasa Council House siya."

The person didn't answer so Miss Unna continued to speak.

"Handa na nga pala ang pagkain sa---"

"Did you smell that?"

It was a man whom she was talking with! 

And his voice is deep and cold. And once again, I felt strange. My inside is churning and my heart is suddenly uneased.

Hindi ko maintidihan ang sarili. Pwede namang lumabas na ako sa pinto para harapin sila pero parang may pumipigil sa'kin.

"H-Huh? Baka ang pagkain... nasa dining na kasi."

"It's not..."

Sa sobrang taranta ko ay pumasok ako sa pinto sa kanang bahagi ng dining room. I opened the door and I was greeted by a narrow hallway. If I will continue walking I will reach another door that will lead me to the kitchen. But I wasn't even halfway through the kitchen door when I saw Ida coming my way.
