CHAPTER 39

HE KNOWS

I DIDN'T GO back to the kitchen after I talked with Tarik. I stayed in the garden for a while because I felt like my head is spinning because of our talk.

All I can think about are his revelations and confessions. We've only talked about Arianna and his maker, so imagine how I'd feel if we brought up Lady Viktoria and her son Lazarus. And, speaking of Lazarus, I'm curious if Drago has already discovered anything about him.

I thought that getting my memories back will make me whole and happy but I feel otherwise. I closed my eyes and breathed deeply. I need to see my uncle. I know that he knows something.

Napag desisyonan ko na hindi na bumalik sa kusina. It was almost time for our garden chores so I decided to wait for Ida in the garden. Hindi naman nagtagal at dumating na siya. Nagulat siya nang makita ako at tinanong niya ako kung sino raw ang kasama ko rito kanina.

She even asked me if I met with Drago but I just shook my head to show my answer.

"Nagusap kami ni Tarik," sabi ko.

"Talaga?! What did you talk about?" she asked with curiosity.

"Sasabihin ko sa'yo mamaya. For now, let's focus on our work," I told her. Ida then nods her head and started working.

Pagkatapos ng trabaho namin ay dinala ko siya sa tagong parte ng hardin. Baka kasi may makarinig sa'min. After I made sure that the place is secure, I began telling her everything.

Ida's eyes widened in shock as she listens to me. Her expression was dreadful after knowing everything. She looks taken and worried, and I understand.

"Parang ang hirap paniwalaan. Hindi mo naman nabanggit sina Lazarus at Arianna noong sinabi mo sa'min ang tungkol sa'yo," sabi niya habang umiiling.

She's right, ang tanging nasabi ko lang ay ang tungkol sa buhay ko rati at ang tungkol sa'min ni Drago. I did tell them about my uncle but I did not mention Lady Viktoria's name as well as their children.

"So all this time, it was Lady Viktoria who did it. And she's also alive?!" Ida exclaimed in horror.

"Yes, it was her. But I'm not sure if my uncle has already seen her. Hindi rin ako sigurado kung nagkita na ba sila ng mga anak niya," I told her with furrowed brows.

"Pero alam mo, hindi rin ako makapaniwalang pinsan mo si Lady Arianna. Now that you told me about her, I realized that you do have some resemblance," she said while eyeing me. "You have the same eyes and the same shape of lips, but hers is thicker. And she has fairer skin and is taller than you," she continued. I nodded at her because she was right.

"Did you happen to see her today?" I asked about Arianna. But all Ida did was shake her head. She said that Arianna had left the day before.

I inwardly sighed with relief. I can't imagine the look on Drago's face if he sees us together under one roof.

"I don't understand why Lady Viktoria keeps on doing this. I mean... it was her fault, natural lang na itakwil siya ng dating Alpha." What Ida said caught my attention.

Kahit naman ako ay nagtataka rin. Drago's parents are no longer alive, so what does she want now? Or maybe she intends to finish all of the family members. That thought worried me. But there has to be more to it. And I'm hoping we can figure it out before it's too late.

Pagkatapos naming magusap ay bumalik na kami sa kusina para maghanda ng pagkain para kay Drago. After cooking his food, we brought it to the dining room. We then left after we placed the food on the table.
