MAMA SANYA WENT to the market with her younger sister, Aunt Cora and she insisted on preparing dinner for tonight. She also mentioned that she will bake us their family's pastries.

I've also informed Mama Sanya that Ida and Ate Riva will be visiting for dinner.

I decided to go for a walk in the woods since I was alone in the house. I miss going in there. I've been busy the last few days and haven't had a chance to unwind.

Then I recall what Mama Sanya said earlier. Aunt Cora, her younger sister, is originally from Preousia. She also lives in Ashwood, which surprised me because the name sounded familiar.

I was filled with so many thoughts that I fell into a deep slumber.

I smiled and shook my head.

Mama Sanya agreed and Aunt Cora offered to help us in the kitchen. She baked us some pastries while mama and I cooked the dishes.

Aunt Cora was happy to see them both. I also found out that Ida visited Aunt Cora before when she went to Preousia.

While we eat dinner, Aunt Cora filled us with stories from Ashwood.

My brows furrowed as I continue to listen to them. I feel clueless and curious at the same time.

I can't help asking.

Aunt Cora took a deep breath before talking. The leaders triumphed, but our Luna paid a high price. She and her unborn child were both severely hurt."

"But the baby made it, right?" I hoped.

"Yes, but to be able to save both lives, they must make a sacrifice," sagot niya, "They performed a ritual to save them both but... in order to complete the ritual, they must take away their unborn child. Someone else carried the baby.

Then all of a sudden, I felt sad for the Luna and her baby. What happened to her made me feel something and I don't know why.

"Where is the baby now?" I asked.

"Nasa Mortal Realm. Doon siya napunta. But the good thing is, both the Alpha and his Luna can pay her a visit once a year." Nakangiting sabi ni Aunt Cora.

I felt relieved upon hearing her. Then Aunt Cora continued to tell us what happened the past few years. Her stories made me feel like I have missed a lot.

We went outside to our house after dinner to get some fresh air. The night is young, and we continue to tell stories while enjoying the cool breeze.

When you're having fun, time flies by. Because, before I know it, Ida and Ate Riva are saying their goodbyes.
