"Eden, I'm heading out to the garden. Why don't you go set the table?" I asked.

"Yes mama." Eden said running off to get the plates.

Stepping outside in the cool air, the birds were singing and the morning dew was still there. I looked towards the rising sun and sighed. Beautiful morning. Walking into the garden, I noticed Eden's peppers weren't growing. Darn. She is always taking care of them the best she can. It's a shame it's been dry all summer. I grabbed the basket hanging off the fence and started pick the fruit. At least the berries were good. As I'm filling the basket I hear the back door open. I look back and see Josh. I smiled instantly.

"Good morning!" I said. He walked over to me.

"Good morning to you too. How did you sleep?" He asked. So considerate and sweet.

"Slept for a little bit but then Eden woke me up." I said.

"Why's that?" He asked.

"She missed you guys. She couldn't sleep and so she climbed into bed with me." I said. He smiled. "I don't mind though. I sleep better with someone in the bed too."

"Well. Here." He pulled out his phone. "I'll give you my number, so when she misses us, you can call." He smiled and gave me his phone. I put my number in it and gave it back.

"Thank you." I said.

"Your welcome. I would do anything for the little bird." He laughed.

"Little bird?" I asked.

He chuckled and looked down. Was he blushing?

"Uhm yeah. It's a little nickname." He looked back up.

"Oh? How did you come up with that one?" I laughed.

"I dunno. She reminds me of a little bird. Singing, flying around. Stealing shiny things." We both laughed.

"Well. I think it's sweet." I blushed. "Do u have a nickname too?" I asked. He nodded. "Can i know?" He shook his head. "Why not?" I laughed.

"I don't want you to know yet." He said. Damn.

"Okay." I smirked.

"Do you need help?" He asked pointing to my basket.

"No, I've got enough. I hope." I giggled.

"Yeah, Sam eats alot." We both laughed. He followed me back inside and I went to wash the berries. I felt someone next to me and looked up. It was Jake.

"Hey, i was wondering if I can show Eden more guitar after breakfast?" He asked.

"Of course." I smiled back. He walked back out and I finished getting all the food onto plates. I brought the food out and put them on the table. No one was sitting down yet.

"Boys! Eden! Breakfast!" I yelled. I heard a stampede run towards the table. Sam holding Eden like plane and her laughing. Danny and Jake laughing and pushing each other racing to to table. Josh slowly following behind still looking around the house. I started to feel nervous. I hope he liked it. He said he did, but maybe he was being nice.

Everyone sat down and started pilling food onto their plates. Cheesy eggs, French toast, fruit. Eden's favorite.

"Thank you mama for breakfast." Eden said. I smiled back.

"Your welcome love." She beamed at me and dove into her eggs.

"Thank you. This is delicious!" Jake said.

"Fhis stuff is weally good." Sam said with us mouth full of food. I laughed.

"Your welcome." I said.
