Off's POV
I woke up with a massive headache. My body feels heavy, I slowly opened my eyes but I was immediately blinded by the light, so I closed it again.
"Jumpol? Mom! He's awake!" I heard Jane's voice. I tried to open my eyes and the light is now at dim "Jumpol? Can you hear me?"
"Y-yeah" I answered weakly. When I can filly open my eyes, I looked around the room
"Just a second, I'll call the doctor" Jane said and stood up from her seat. As Jane left, Mom and Dad went inside
"Oh my" Mom exclaimed with her hands covering her mouth. She walks up to me and caressed my cheek lightly like I'm a fragile glass "You're finally awake, you scared us"
"Glad you're awake now, Son" Dad said, taking a seat where Jane was sitting earlier then tapping my shoulder lightly.
"W-where..." I tried to talk but my voice seems to be broken. I looked around and notice that I'm in a hospital
"Hush now, Son. Jane's getting the doctor, do you need water?" He asked and I nodded as a response
"W-was Jane supposed t-to be resting?" I asked. For all I know, Jane was supposed to be resting since she was injured. Mom helped me drink some water, She placed a straw so I will not have to sat up.
"Son" Dad called gaining my attention "You've asleep for two days, everyone was worried that your head might have had a bleeding inside but, the doctor said it was not so we waited for you to wake up"
My eyebrows furrowed. I closed my eyes and remembered some events from that day. I was supposed to get Gun out of that place, then there was an explosion and Gun...H-he....
My eyes opened and I tried to get up but, Dad held my shoulders keeping me in bed
"Dad! No! G-Gun! I-I need to get him out" I tried to get out of my own father's grasp but, my body wouldn't cooperate with me
"Jumpol, stop"
"No! I need to save him! Get off me!" I kept moving. The doctor came in and so is Mew and Jane. The doctor got a syringe out and shot me with it, I felt my body getting numb and soon I calmed down
"Jumpol, you need to gain your strength back" Dad pleaded again
I shook my head. I felt my heart breaking "Dad, you don't understand, I need to get Gun, he needs me"
The entire room went silent, I looked at each one of them and they're all avoiding me eyes, except Mew. He's looking directly at me, I also noticed that he has a bandage on his arm and a patch on the right side of his head.
"Mew, where's Gun? Tell me" I asked him
He sighed before looking back at me, I can see in his eyes that he is having a hard time telling me. Why do I have a bad feeling about this....
"Jumpol, Gun is dead"
The moment he said that, I felt a huge pain in my heart. I just froze on the spot, everything stop and I couldn't believe what I just heard. As I was about to say something, he spoke again
"Tay is also confined here due to fatal injuries, he just woke up yesterday. The explosion caused five of my men to death, Chakar was also in that explosion and so is...Gun" He spoke with a straight face
Mom started to cry and hugged me. All of them have this sad and worried expression while looking at me. Everything seems like a dream, my mind couldn't process what was going on. It feels like the other day when I just saw Gun, yesterday when I fell for him and now... he's gone? Just like that?
I did not cry nor reacted. I just stayed still on the bed, the doctor soon checked my health and told my parents that everything's fine, that I will be able to go home after a week. Mom finally stopped crying and Mew just left the room.
Staring at the ceiling, I feel empty. I want to jump off a roof, I want to find where my beloved boyfriend is. Why does when everything's going peacefully and happy, bad things often came.

Mew's POV
After I broke the news to Jumpol, he did not react nor got angry. He just laid there and not moving while his mother hugged him while crying. Jumpol's eyes changed, while the doctor checks his health status, I left the room.
He's my Friend, and seeing him like that also breaks my heart. Tay's mate/boyfriend is taking care of him now, while mine is at one of my estate outside the city. I walked through the halls of the hospital, people in hospital gowns on a wheelchair and some are being guided by nurses.
The hospital is a place where new lives are being born, and where lives are being taken away as well. A place with both painful and happy memories, I feel guilty for not ambushing sooner, I could've at least save his lover.
My phone rang inside my pockets, I fished it out of my pockets and looked at the caller's I.D.
Gulfie the Wifey💕 Calling...
I smiled before answering the call
"Hey, Gulfie. What's wrong?" I asked taking a seat at one of the waiting chairs
["Nothing, your son's looking for you again"] My wife's voice calmed me down. I smiled imagining him having a hard time handling our little boy alone ["I swear, he loves you more than me. And I'm the one who carried him for like....9 months!!]l"]
"Don't worry, I'll be back next week. Just stay with Boat and Techno, keep our baby boy away from techno just to be safe, I wouldn't want Techno putting our son inside the bathtub again"
["Tsk! Of course, I know that! Anyway... I'll be waiting for you then! Love you!"] Gulf said then he makes kissing noises
I chuckled softly and replied "I love you too, Gulfie. See you soon"
We ended the call and I decided to check on Tay. While making my way there, I saw a room with a familiar text on it. I walked closer to the door but, a hand was placed on my shoulder. I looked behind me and it's a man that looks like in his fifty's
"Hello, young man. Can I helo you?" He asked nicely
I shook my head "Nothing, I just thought something familiar"
"Oh? Are perhaps friends with my son?" He asked
"No, No, I may have mistaken a room. I was on my way to my friend's room, sorry for bothering you" I said and bowing my head.
"It's fine, then I hope a fast recovery for your, kid" He said. I nodded and thanked him. He went inside the room, I tried to peak inside,I didn't see much on who was on the bed but, It looks serious since his son was covered with bandages around the face
Must have been a very terrible accident, or may a plastic surgery, it's very common these days. I went on my way to Tay's room and saw New already helping Tay changes hus clothes. I just pray for them to recover quickly, especially Jumpol because I have a bad feeling about him...

After a week, Jumpol and Tay was discharged from the hospital. Three days after that, Jumpol's family held a funeral for Gun and only a few attended. Since Gun doesn't have any relatives anymore, his friends and Jumpol's family, including me and Gulf are the ones there. Jumpol still looks lifeless, but not very obvious, I can see that he's trying to hide it

I want to actually write stories that have a sad endings and heartbreaking scenes but, I'll have to practice doing it...
