𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒘 𝒕𝒌𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒖𝒌 - 𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝒇𝒍𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒔

matthew and i were heading back to st. louis for the christmas break to see our families.

we were walking through calgary international airport to get to our gate, hand in hand.

i was rushing matt when we were leaving the house because i wanted to be there early.

"babe why do we have to be here so early, it's literally like 6 am." matthew yawned as he sat down next to the gate.

"i don't want to be rushing out of the house at 7 am when our flight leaves at 8 am." i said and sat down next to him.

"fair point." he was looking at his phone and leaned back in his chair.

"i love you." i said to him.

"i love you too." he patted the space next to him and i snuggled into him.

"wake up, hey we're boarding soon." matthew woke me up by whispering.

i grounded and he laughed.

i stood up and stretched my back for a second and grabbed my bag.

i showed the lady at the gate my ticket and passport and she let me through, "have a safe flight."

"thank you." i waited for matt and we walked through together.

we walked down the terminal at into the entrance of the plane.

we were trying to find our seats when i heard a voice say, "isn't that matthew tkachuk?"

i turned around and it was a little boy talking to his mom.

he was wearing a flames hoodie too.

we had seats right next to them.

i sat in the window seat while matt sat in the alley seat.

"there's a little boy across from you wearing a flames hoodie, heard him say 'is that tkachuk?'" i whispered to matt.

matt looked over at the boy at waved when he noticed him looking.

the boy turned excitedly to his mom.

that's something that kid will remember for a long time.

the flight attendants went along the plane closing all over head compartments and did the safety instructions.

"thank you for choosing air canada today, we have around a five hour flight ahead of us to airport township in st. louis missouri and should be clear sky's the whole way. we hope you enjoy your time."

matthew offered his hand to me and i grabbed it.

something we always do when we take off on flights together.

once we were in the air i asked him, "high school musical?"

"sure." it's a little bit of a guilty pleasure.

five hours later and we were walking off the plane in st. louis.

walking through the airport and i was already so excited to see my parents.

i haven't seen them since my birthday in the summer, so i was excited to see them again.

we were walking out of the sliding doors and i spotted our families standing with each other.

i started semi running towards my mom and gave her a huge hug.

"hi honey." she whispered to me.

"hi mom." i whispered back.

i hugged my dad after.

i turned towards matthew's parents and hugged them while matthew did the same to mine.

"brady!!" matthew and i had no idea he would be here.

"y/n!!" we were close and i gave him a hug.

i found matthew again and grabbed his hand.

we all started waking towards the exit and my mom asked, "how was the flight?"

"good, there was a little flames fan that seemed exited to see matthew tkachuk on his flight." i laughed.

"wow matthew, quite famous." brady smirked.

"shut up." matthew blushed.

my parents went back to our house and i headed to the tkachuk household with matt.

chantal opened the door and filled into the house.

taryn and emma, brady's girlfriend, we're in the living room, talking.

"hello people." matthew said and they looked at him a little startled.

"y/n!" taryn said and jumped up to give me a hug.

"hey taryn, nice to see you!" i said as she hugged me.

see went back to sit in the couch and matthew was a little shocked, "wow not even going to hug your brother?"

"no." she sat back down on the couch.

i snickered and placed my bag down and went to sit on the couch next to taryn.

"hi, i'm y/n." i introduced myself to emma.

"emma, nice to meet you." she smiled.

"nice to meet you too." i smiled back.

over the three days of the break, emma and i got really close because we had so much in common.

i mean, we are dating brothers that play in the nhl.

presents were a success, and people like the presents i got them which is a win for me.

successful christmas break.
