my period had started recently and cramps were killing me.

as they always do.

quinn was gone on a five day road trip, still had two days left, and i was all alone. in pain. in my bed. with chocolate of course.

i opened my computer and signed into netflix to binge watch some of my favourite shows.

after about three episodes of my favourite show, quinn facetimed me.

i answered and propped my phone up on my computer.

"hey what's up?" quinn asked.

"not much, just watching some netflix. you?"

"just finished a morning skate. you better not be watching our show by yourself." he said sternly.

"i'm not, i'm not. you know i wouldn't." i mumbled.

"good, i would be so made if you did." i could tell he was smiling.

"i know you would be so that's why i didn't watch it."

"how's university?" he asked.

oh yeah, i'm a fourth year at the university of vancouver, "good, it's reading week right now so we don't have any work."

"that means, when i get back, we are going on a date." he said matter of factly.

"whatever you say." i laughed.

"are you in our room?" he asked.

"yeah in bed like i have been all day. are you in the hotel?"

"yeah. i think the whole coyotes team is staying here too. they played here in st. louis yesterday." quinn explained.

"people are going to be trying to book rooms in that hotel but there are literally two hockey teams taking up four floors." i said.

"that's true. that's actually funny to think about." he smiled.

"well i wanna take a nap, so i'm going to go." i smiled sadly at him.

"ugh, this is making me want to be there so i can cuddle you." he groaned.

"trust me, i want you to be here too. it's worth it though because when we see each other in about two days, it will be so much more exciting." i tried to make him a little happier.

"yeah, well, i'll let you go and have a nap." quinn sighed.

"okay, i love you. bye." i waved goodbye to him.

"i love you too, see ya." he ended the call.

i stood up very slowly, period problems, and grabbed my computer and brought it downstairs to charge for a day at school tomorrow.

i got a glass of water from the sink and headed back upstairs for a well needed nap.

i put on some music from my spotify, turned the lights off and went to sleep.

timeskip

it was around a day and a half later and quinn was coming back!

i drove to the vancouver international airport while listening to some amazing louis tomlinson.

did i scream all the songs? yes.
did i regret it? hell no.

i walked into the airport after going through the difficulties of parking at an airport.

as i got to arrivals, i noticed holly, bo horvat's wife, waiting there too.

we had met a few times and had become quite good friends so it wasn't awkward or anything to talk to her.

"hey holly." i said as i walked up to her.

"oh hey y/n! how are you?" she hugged me.

"good, thanks. how are you?" i hugged her back.

"really good. here to see quinn?" she looked back to the gate to check if the boys were coming.

"of course, i'm guessing you are here for bo."

"yeah, how'd you guess?" she said sarcastically.

i was facing her so i didn't notice that the guys were already coming out.

"are the dogs doing good-oh my god!" two arms wrapped around my waist and i instantly knew it was quinn.

i turned around and hugged him for real.

"hey. oh my goodness i missed you." he mumbled.

"i missed you so much. even if it was only for five days."

"longest five days ever." he pulled away and grabbed my hand.

"wanna go home and cuddle?" he asked.

"lord please." i answered.

"bye holly, we have to catch-up some time soon." i said to her.

"yes, you have my number, we can set up a drink or something." she smiled.

"for sure, bye." i waved bye.

she did to and turned back to bo.

"let's go home." i looked back to quinn.

"yeah, let's do that. we are listening to your 2000's playlist on the way home."

"sounds good to me." i smiled and we left to go back home.

lots of cuddling and sleeping was done when we got home, and boy did i enjoy having home again.
