The dark forest: A Star-crossed Love story between Humans and Fairies

Loud, loud noises are the worse to hear in the morning. Waking up to banging hammers, squeaky cartwheels, and glomping horse hooves was not the way Jake wanted to wake up in the morning. Opening his Jade green eyes in disgruntlement jake looks for the sunlight clock to see what time it was and based on where the sun was he guessed it was somewhere around 6 a.m.

Not only was it too early in the morning for him but it was also a noisy morning. He is not a fan of either but none the less he needs to get up to start his usual boring day.

Don't get him wrong he loves his life Jake just feels he could be doing more than what his life has seen him be doing. Getting ready for work is his only true joy for the day as he works as the best thing ever, A blacksmith he loves working with different tools to make strong metals to help the city thrive as you can tell from what he was working as you may be able to predict what name his city may be called.

His city is the most thriving of all cities around here as it is a place where inventors thrive to help people thrive even better in life, Blackburn the best city ever to be thriving where blacksmiths thrive the most so people can live life.

Jake loves his job so much the only thing he dislikes is the morning if anything Night is the best time of the day at least in his opinion. Arriving to work Jake gets to his station giving his boss a friendly hello seeing him working the hardest as he ever has worked. Seeing the state of his workstation makes him cringe as last time he was here he left in a rush leaving his station messy and unorganized one of the things Geoffery a.k.a his boss hates. Hopefully, he will not get talked to as he starts cleaning and reorganizing his workstation before looking around Jake sees the coast is clear and starts his workday.

Working throughout the day is tiring but fulfilling as he finishes up with his first out of five projects for the Jake see's by the sun clock that it is lunchtime seeing this he joyfully takes his lunch to the dark breakroom catching the eyes of his boss as he arrives through the doors Jake sees Geoffery wave him over to join him for lunch.

Walking over Jake greets Geoffery in a friendly manner,

"Hey Geoffery, how are you today"

"My day has been great, although this morning I saw something that somewhat distressed me"

Jake hearing this gets a little tense none less he asks him

"What distressed you Geoffery did someone steal something or make a mess of things"

"No...sigh Jake we have talked about how your workstation should be at the end of each workday"

Jake hearing this knows that is true they have talked about how he should leave his workstation it should be ingrained in his mind by now however he also knows that it never fully comes to mind as he is too tired to clean it at the end of the day.

"My bad Geoffery I was going to do it honestly, I was just tired and must have left with not checking that off my mental list I promise to remember to clean it up before I leave"

"You promise"

"Scouts honor Geofferry you can count on it"

"Alright, now that we are all sorted let's get started on Lunch as we need to get back to work right away"

After Lunch Jake started on one of their bigger projects that needed to be done at the end of the month, with the city being dependent on metals it would be best that the bigger projects get done first as it helps make the city more functional. Putting on his apron he gets started at the anvil banging and bending the metal into a specific shape where it is then put in the fire to set its shape. Getting through half of the project jake sees the time he begins putting everything away to go home after the talk with Geoffery at lunch he triples makes sure that his space is organized putting tools in their areas, stuffing metals in his take-home back, and making sure it is cleaned up he sees everything is to the liking of organized and he sets off for home taking a shortcut through the forest area.

He walks along the usual path he takes to get to his house lost in thought of his work and how the talk with Geoffery went, as said before Jake loves his job he just hates when he disappoints someone like a client or Geoffery, especially him. Geoffery is someone he has always looked up to ever since he was a child he loved when his dad took him around town to see all the shops his favorite being the blacksmith shop. Geoffery has always been working there since Jake was a kid he was definitely younger looking back in the day not to say the man isn't any less handsome today but you can most likely see a change in everything nowadays.

Getting off-track he thinks about how his life seems boring not realizing that a change was coming this life one that would shake his world forever. Making his way through the forest Jake accidentally trips on a rock that was blocking his path causing him to drop his bag and fall to the ground, dropping his heavy work bag making everything scramble he realized how quiet the forest was well before tripped. Man he must have made a huge noise luckily he wasn't in town otherwise he would have most likely woken someone up and that wouldn't have been good.

Hopping back up he rushes about trying to get all of his tools back in his work back of course not without fumbling a few times, Jake is definitely not the most coordinated person but to be this clumsy and dropping his stuff was unusual for him as he never been this bad at trying to pick up stuff. After a few attempts, he finally gets everything back in his bag and finishes his walk back home in a swift fashion just in time for a late dinner and bed making sure his alarm is set for the next day as usual of his boring routine.

As he drifts off to sleep he wonders if his life will always be like this not totally boring but mundane of life. He hopes one day something spectacular happens to him to make this life seem a little less mundane but he may as well just dream of it and let that dream stay as-is.

Little did Jake know that his life was about to get oscillated up.
