The day of the light festival has arrived. As usual, Sunoo would let all the palace workers rest and go to the festival to enjoy. Baekhee left the palace with her other court lady friends, leaving Yeonseo alone.
The Princess walked around the outdoor area at night, shivering due to the cold night breeze. She glanced at the sky and counted the stars that were twinkling at her.
Suddenly, a pair of hands wrapped her in a coat. She jumped out of shock before tilting her head, seeing Sunghoon putting his coat on her. She examined him from head to toe, seeing him in his casual attire.
"You scared me!"
He laughed, "You should have seen your face."
She was about to give his coat back but he stopped her, making sure she was warm and comfortable. "Are you here all alone, princess? Where's Baekhee?" He asked.
"She went to the light festival with her friends. What brings you here?"
"I want to ask you to come to the festival with me."
"But I thought I'm not allowed to leave the palace?"
He smirked, "It's more fun to escape, right? Come with me," he winked before intertwining his hand with hers. They both ran to the entrance gate before leaving the palace. He tightened his grip around her hand and couldn't help but smile excitedly.
Her heart fluttered at the sight of him holding her hand, making sure she was right next to him. She admired him as he giggled happily. Her lips curved into a small smile as she let him bring her to the festival.

Yeonseo looked around in awe at the sight of people flying the lanterns. The lights shining in the night sky. Sunghoon was next to her as he carried a lantern and a brush pen.
He led her to an empty spot and put down the lantern, "Legend says that if you write your wish on the lantern and let it fly to the sky, it'll come true."
"Don't tell me you believe those things?" She chuckled and glanced at the sky, seeing writings on the lanterns. It turns out the people did believe those legends.
"Well, I did once and it came true," he pouted before writing something on their lantern. She furrowed her eyebrows out of curiosity, "What was your wish?"
"I wished to see you whenever I'm at the palace. Because it's so hard to even bump into you. You're always in your bedroom."
Her heart pounded an unusual beat. She felt her cheeks starting to redden. She snatched the brush pen and tried to change the topic by writing something.
He chuckled and watched her as she squatted on the ground. She wrote, 'I wish to know more about the princess'.
The words made the prince confused, "What do you mean?"
"I may have lost my memories. So I hope I can understand myself more to see what's wrong."
I've always been interested in the princess's story. I should try to find more about what happened. Even if it risks my life.
She thought for a while before brushing away the thoughts. She turned the lantern around and saw the prince's handwriting. It was neat and pretty. Way better than hers.
'I want to get to know you better, princess.'
The words made her blush. She glanced at him and realised he was standing behind her. Too close. He held her hands that were holding the lantern, "Let's fly it together."
She didn't know what got into her mind. Her body slowly leaned against his as she watched the lantern fly into the sky. "It's beautiful," she muttered.

People's voices calling their customers to visit their stalls and shops were loud. Yeonseo looked around, seeing people crowding at the shops. Sunghoon was walking next to her, enjoying their peaceful time together.
"Wait for me here, princess. I'll be right back," he said before leaving her in the middle of the way. She obeyed and stood there, watching a lady selling jewellery near her.
She was about to visit the shop when she felt a sudden pain in her chest. It was as if the pain was stabbing her heart. She held her chest and felt uncomfortable with the crowd of people.
"You have a talent in painting, my Queen," a man said. Princess Yeonseo smiled and continued painting the flowers in front of her. She put down the painting brush and held her baby bump.
"It hurts," she winced in pain before finding a chair to sit on. The man immediately grabbed the nearest chair and let her sit on it.
"Thank you, Jungwon," she smiled and exhaled tiredly. She watched as he tidied up her mess. "Why do you always call me your queen? I'm a princess."
"I know. But you are a queen to me. And our daughter will be our princess."
Princess Yeonseo blushed and lowered her head to hide her reddened cheeks. He smirked and kissed her forehead, "I'm happy that I get to create a family with you. I really do, Yeonseo."
"Was that the princess's memory?" Yeonseo asked herself as she held her chest, feeling the pain rising. She fell to the ground and clenched her fists, her nails digging into her skin.
It hurts!
She tilted her head and saw Jungwon standing in front of her from afar. His eyes widened at the sight of her kneeling as she held her chest in pain. Her sight started to blur as she saw him running towards her.
"Your Highness!" That was all she heard before falling into darkness.
