Hours pass with annoyance and pain. I'm forced into listening to Bad talk for hours about memories he's shared with Nick. Like somehow that's supposed to make me feel better. Newsflash, it doesn't.

"Cinth, did you have a good day?" Nick asks as we walk away from the meeting with his mentor. The real answer was no, but he didn't need to know that. He wasn't like Clay, he couldn't get inside my head and read all my dark secrets.

"It was nice to see how you became so friendly." I plaster a fake smile to my face and look up at him.

My eyes trace down his jawline. I study the way his stubble pops out from his skin. I take note of the little things. The shape of his nose. The way his cheeks raise when he smiles. I take in his scent and memorize the smell. If I remember the little things then maybe he'll never leave me. Maybe when I close my eyes at night he'll appear and I won't have to leave him.

"Whatcha looking at?" Nick says as he watches me graze my eyes over him like a hawk.

"You." I say simply.

"Well I know that." He chuckles as he drapes his arm over my body. I take a mental note of how my body forms to his. I need to remember how this feels. I need to document it in my mind, burn it in there.

"If I explained myself I'd sound insane. Almost as insane as Ranboo thinking Tubbo came back." My mind thinks back to only a few weeks ago when I wreaked havoc through our lands. I created a nightmare for my friends.

"Our bodies will do anything to hold onto ideals of people or things. When I leave I'm sure you may act the same as he did." Nick's tone is calm. He's sincere as he speaks.

"I don't like you that much." I smirk and give him a little wink. I have to cope somehow, right?

"So funny." Nick rolls his eyes and his actions cause me to laugh to myself.

When we get back to the center of our commune the bell tolls for the end of the day but Nick lingers. He doesn't want to go. I force the night to end though as I step inside my room and the door wooshes closed.

As I go to step further into my room I feel the simmer of a glow on my skin. Of course, when I look my hand is lit up orange for only a few seconds before it quickly vanishes away.

His goodbye.

Day 59 :

Prepare yourself. Prepare for the inevitable. You know things you aren't supposed to so prepare. You never know when your day, their day, may be the last. Hold onto memories. Stay close to people you've met.

Do not self seclude. Do not push away. Keep close what you have left. In the blink of an eye it could all be gone. Don't let yourself stumble.

Life is worth putting the effort into, even after they're gone. If it's ever too much, consult your closest confidants.
