"She's right Nick." Clay doesn't look at his best friends when he speaks. He doesn't even look at me. His eyes focus on the green grass barely visible in the moonlight. "We can talk about all of this once we're all out. For now we should focus on the task at hand."

"What have you done to him, Hyacinth? He doesn't even fight for things anymore. He's so half-hazard about it." Nick complains. It seems to be all he's done since we joined up with him just the night before.

"Jesus Christ Nick can you just shut up." Clay looks up with a glare deep in his eyes. He's had enough of this nonsense. "We are tired. We are hurting. We are hungry. Either you join us or we will find someone else who will." Clay's brows fully furrow as he glances past Nick and straight to George. The one man who can never turn Clay's offers down.

"Sapnap." George speaks softly, his hand resting so gently against Nick's skin. A little blue glow appears beneath his palm and I can tell how delicate George is trying to be. "We need to give them the supplies we've gathered. I don't want to be trapped forever. And I know you don't either."

George's calm demeanor flushes the fight between the two other boys away. Clay's features relax, Nick's tone simmers. We are at peace for now.

"We couldn't get much. People started to notice things going missing as we collected but we did the best we could. The others might be able to gather up a little more supplies but we will need time. Time you two don't have." George looks at Clay as he speaks. It's as if no one else in the world exists. And I look at Nick and see his heart crack a little. Every part of me wants to reach out and heal him. But the only healer we have is George, and he's the one hurting Nick.

"If you guys can sneak us food, I have a plan to make living out here sustainable. My fight with Hya today gave me time to think and clear my head. Can you get all that needs to be done in a few weeks?" Clay looks between Nick and George.

"With who we have in here, yes." Nick says straight to the point.

"Who do you have on the inside with you?" Clay finally questions. It's something that's been in the back of my mind. I know that I won't know them, but it will give Clay and I something to speak of. Something other than what we will be. I'd much rather learn of others trials and tribulations.

"We have Phil, Techno and Foolish with us." George says quietly. Almost as if he speaks too loud, cameras might alert to us all.

"Phil?" Clay questions. "But he's a mentor. How did he get moved?" A quizzical expression forms on Clay's face. He's confused by such a drastic change in the roles of the societies we live in.

A mentor once placed in a commune normally never leaves. They are given the life path of, well, mentoring. It's all they live to do. Well, besides loving their soulmate of course. Once you get a home you're stuck there forever. That's until Phil. Whoever Phil may be.

"Apparently they doubted him unfit for mentoring after the—" Nick trails off not finishing his sentence. It seems like there are still secrets I have yet to know. I won't push or question. It seems to have stuck a cord for all of them.

"It's a good crew to have but it's just the start. Our issue will be Tubbo. I don't think we will be able to get to him. And, honestly, since we left so many more of our friends could have found their soulmates and are now out like you." Clay looks at the ground. "The more people we have the easier this process will be."

"We will leave food for you guys here just before dawn so grab that daily and Cinth, I will connect with you when we're ready to meet up again." Nick looks at me and my eyes shoot away. I feel so small. My emotions are like a tornado and I can't get them under wraps.
