Robin noticed something, about Renner. He seemed distant, more than usual anyway, and spent a lot of time speaking to Batman about something for the past few days. Robin tried to ask Batman first, still feeling strangely nervous about talking to Renner about it. Batman obviously dismissed his apprentice, telling him "Why don't you ask him yourself, Dick" He spoke with a smirk.

Robin was hesitant to do just so, not wanting to bother him. He didn't respond to Batman though, deep in thought as how to start such a conversation with Renner. 'Hey, how come you've been ignoring me lately?' Or 'You've been super distant lately, what's going on?' Robin felt like he had pried enough about his scars already. He didn't want to push it.

Finally, he settled on just having a conversation with Renner, seeing if he would just tell him, or mention something about it. How he would, Robin didn't know, and the more he thought about it the more implausible he found it.

Robin found himself sitting in the quiet room making sudden noises of distaste to his ideas or agreement, a noise of objection soon followed though. "Talk to him, not yourself. Go" Bruce would cut him off and usher him out to zeta back to the cave, leaving him with some peace of mind about Renner and Robin alike. He went back to reading the paper, an article courtesy of his very own crush, Clark Kent from the Daily Planet, who was hopelessly in love with someone else (or, at least, he thought so).

Back at Mount Justice, Robin had agreed (with himself) to just start a conversation with Renner and see if the topic comes up. He just hoped it wouldn't be because of him randomly blurting out how Renner had been distant lately, because that was his worst fear at the moment.

Renner wasn't anywhere around where Robin could think to search and he assumed that maybe he was in his room. He made his way there and found him still missing, no one answering the knocks on his door. Robin decided to ask M'gann, since she was the first and only person he saw in his previous search.

"Hey, M'gann, do you know where Anemoi went today? I can't seem to find him around here anywhere" Robin asked, a little worried at this point. M'gann was placed in the kitchen, baking something that was probably cookies, and was about to answer before a timer went off. "My muffins!" -It seemed Robin's predictions were off- "Just a second."

M'gann carefully took the full muffin tin out of the oven, shutting said appliance off before doing anything else. She took a muffin from the tin and offered it to Robin, who thanked her and took it graciously. After that, she finally got to answering Robin's question about Renner "He left a while ago, something about going to Gotham for the night, he had to check up on someone" M'gann explained.

Robin decided to try out a different way to find out what was happening to Renner. He left Mount Justice, arriving in the Batcave this time to see what was on record about Anemoi in Batman's database. He easily located a file titled Anemoi, but opened it to find nothing in it besides a couple of photos of him fighting and two addresses, not even a name or an exact age.

Robin was confused, Batman of all people didn't know who Anemoi was? "Didn't I tell you to go and ask him?" Robin jumped at the voice, he hadn't heard his adoptive father get in the cave, he was too distracted by the emptiness of the file.

"I tried, but he went to Gotham apparently. How do you not know who Anemoi is, 'World's Greatest Detective'? What if he got hurt and there was no one to worry about him because they think he's just 'out'?!" Robin was acutely outraged at the idea, fully aware that there was probably no one to find.

"I'm sure you wouldn't allow that," Batman said, shutting off the large computer screen, leaving darkness in place of the fluorescent light. "You can wait, Anemoi won't be gone forever" Batman spoke, patting his shoulder "And I'm sure there's someone else around that needs your help" He motioned to Robin's suit. "Yeah..."

Renner drove down the streets of Gotham as quick as the speed limits would allow him, his destination was on the outskirts of the city. Through zeta, Renner was sent to the other side of the city but was lucky enough to have a few connections around the place. He wore a black turtleneck with an equally dark trench coat over it, beige slacks underneath with a small handbag over his shoulder. He wore black running shoes with the dark outfit.

He didn't wear a mask as he was going out in public as Renner Opal rather than Anemoi the vigilante. He had told a white lie to M'gann, as he wasn't exactly checking up on someone but asking them for help. He was going to visit a friend to talk about getting into a school.

Renner's friend was someone who could help with that particular mission. She knew the needed information about Renner to make most of the papers legally and Renner trusted her unlike ninety-nine percent of the world. She played the role of a mother to Renner for a good part of his childhood and still now.

Her name was Justine Vincent who from French Guiana, right next door was Brazil, where her father came from. She lived with her mother though, in French Guiana and then eventually France before they moved to America. Renner spoke French around her because of this, she hadn't learnt a lot of English.

"T'es où, JuJu?" Renner called 'Where are you, JuJu?'

He walked into the apartment, seeing the light cream walls and picture frames of both Renner and Justine, and her family photos. "Ici! Dans ma chambre!" Justine replied, 'Here! In my room!' she said. Renner followed her voice and found her in bed, reading ."How are you, my child? " She asked, setting her book down "Great, I made some friends recently, but that's not why I came here. I wanted to take up your offer."

Justine was ecstatic to hear this from Renner and placed the book on her night table, smiling "Good to hear. But did you really need to come so late at night? " She laughed. "Sorry! I was planning to come earlier but I got stuck across the city, and your house isn't all that accessible either, you know." Renner was talking about the absence of roads in front of her house besides the barely intelligible dirt path.

"Very well, come here now, we'll do all that in the morning and you can get back to being a superhero" She patted the bed space next to her and Renner climbed in, taking off his shoes and coat. "Merci, Maman.." Renner mumbled, falling asleep in her arms.

The next morning at Justine's house, she had her laptop open and ready to find a good school for Renner. Justine hadn't woken Renner up in the early morning and let him sleep, giving her the time to find good schools for Renner to apply to. She also started to work on getting the papers for it, which she found a simple form to fill out that covered most of the things needed.

Justine, much to her displeasure, was off the grid and had no income or money to spare for a school fee for books or other things needed. Instead, she just hoped that Renner had the money for it and continued to look at schools in the area of Gotham and other cities.

"Bon matin, JuJu" Renner bid Justine a good morning, staring to make a pot of coffee for the two of them. Renner's hair was grown out to his shoulders and was meaning to get it cut, but for now long hair to him meant an elastic in the morning to keep it out of his face while he wasn't wearing a mask.

"I started to make a list of schools for you, and filled out an application paper to help you fill in applications when you get to that" Justine spoke, writing down the name of a private school she was sure Renner could get into because of his extensive studies he did with her. There was a test in a week that let people try to apply simply by their level. Gotham Academy. She smiled at the thought.

The school was owned by Wayne Enterprises and funded by Bruce Wayne, who was very generous and it was his idea to make a test that would allow people to get in by their intelligence. Justine found it very promising.

"Here, maybe your friends go to some of these schools and you can apply there" Justine offered, handing Renner the paper. It listed about ten schools, the last a private school that Renner felt he had no hope of getting into. "Thanks for your help. Is the whole 'register me as a student' thing done? " Justine nodded and Renner thanked her again, bidding a goodbye, forgetting about the coffee.
