Reza---

Kirini's idea actually isn't bad. If we can keep the noise and commotion to a minimum, we can get inside with little to no disruption. My only concern now is lack of weaponry. Roman and I have already gone through a decent supply while we've been out. I'm fairly certain that our cottage is being guarded in the event of our return, but I know I have a good stash under the floorboards in my bedroom.

"That definitely could work, but at the same time, unless they've upgraded the security around the walls we could just climb the walls instead." I bite my lip in thought before refocusing my attention on Kirini. "Kirini, I need you to go survey the walls to the best of your ability but try not to engage. If you do, act like everything is normal. Return to my cottage with the results. We need more weaponry and I have a decent supply. There are enough of us that if there are any people stationed guard over it we can take them down."

"Yes Miss."

After Kirini leaves, I get to my feet and we all head to my cottage. I knew not having my cottage within the compound would be useful for something. As expected, there are two people lounging outside of my cottage. Even from this distance I can tell they're distant cousins, low level job finders, really. I don't know what they expect to accomplish. Before I can speak, Obi and Roman dispatch the guards. That works. Izana, Zen, and I follow them into the cottage and I tell the trio not to touch anything while Roman sweeps the rooms for anyone else. Once given the all-clear, I move through the main room and shift paintings and open false books and shelves to reveal stashes of weapons. In all there are ten different hiding places... in this room. I have seven more in the kitchen, two in the bathroom, and we have our own stashes in our rooms.

"Take what you need from the main room stashes, I have my own."

I am going to cause so much trauma for those idiots watching my cottage. One of them slept in my bed and has completely trashed it. I don't like people in my cottage in general, but my room is always off limits. I sigh and step over the trash and dirty clothing littering the ground and carefully move the trunk away from the foot of my bed. There's a notch in the floorboards I lift to reveal two swords and an array of needles, daggers, a few stars, and some other things I wanted to hide. I take one sword and strap it to my side, leaving my main one still hidden on my back beneath my cloak. I refill my pouches with various weapons then replace the boards and trunk.

"Are you ready, Reez? Kirini is back with her report." I hear Roman ask from the doorway.

"As I'll ever be. I am not fond of the state of my room though..."

"Once this is taken care of, we will get the cottage set up again how you'd like it."

I move toward the door but find myself stopping in front of him.

"Roman, about earlier... in the tree..." I start and he looks away.

"I'm sorry for kissing you like that without your permission, I just-"

"I think I love you too." I cut him off.

"What?"

"I have compared the way you described love with my day to day life involving you. The obvious conclusion is that I must be in love with you. Of course since I don't really kno-"

I'm cut off by Roman pulling me to him and pressing his lips to mine.

"That is so adorable!" I hear a quiet voice whisper from the doorway. "I'm sorry, are you okay? I know you-"

"Her happiness is most important." Izana answers, cutting Kirini off.

I pull away from Roman and suppress the warm feeling in my chest as he smiles down at me.

"You ready to help me kill 'Mommy Nightmare Fuel'?"

"Anything for you, Love."

According to Kirini, the guard positioning is the same as normal, so we won't have to bother with approaching the gate. We aren't going to climb over at the same positions though, and will instead split up into two groups and meet up within the compound. Kirini and Izana didn't mention what they saw in my room thankfully but the small grin on her face is obvious. Once I'm sure we're all ready, Roman and I lead the way to the gates. My heart is pounding in my chest and I can feel my hands starting to tremble. I glance up at Roman as I feel his fingers lace through mine and gently squeeze. I can do anything as long as this man is by my side...

I land on the ground on the other side of the wall with Roman and Izana following close behind. Kirini led Obi and Zen to another section of wall so we won't be just a group of people all climbing one part of the wall together in case we are spotted. Despite the sun starting to rise, the thickness of the forest and the height of the trees is keeping us from being immediately discovered. With the training that the family goes through, it doesn't matter much about light sadly; we can see pretty well in the darkness. Kirini and the others meet up with us behind the bakery a few minutes later and we lead the way to Mother's cottage. My heart sinks as I notice the shadows around it shifting. They've upped the security for her for sure, but I'm counting at least ten people outside. There's no telling how many are inside either. I take a deep breath and make a plan.

"Princes, there's no backing out now. If you die, it's not our faults. Kirini, if you cross us, you will be struck down as well. The main priority for everyone is keeping people away from Reza and myself so we can get inside to take down the matriarch. Understood?"
