chapter 17

Abby's pov

"Josh?"

"hey abby" he said not meeting my gaze

"what are you doing here?"

"we need to talk"

"no we don't. and my date will be here any minute so please leave"

"date..?"

He hadn't seen us? This whole plan to make him leave me alone and he hasn't even seen us yet.

"Yes. Date. Now please go"

"Who"

Before I could answer him someone cleared their throat behind him. Johnny.

"Josh? What are you doing here?"

"Nothing man. I was just leaving."

Johnny was just glaring at Josh. I feel bad that I ruined that friendship but it wasn't on purpose. I just told Johnny what happened . It wasn't my fault.. right?

Josh walked off and Johnny bumped him with his shoulder.

"Come on in.. my knight in shining armor" I did a little sarcastic curtsy

He smiled and winked at me. He came inside and sat on my couch acting right at home.

"Can I get you anything? Water.. Dr. Pepper.. A life maybe?"

"Ha ha"

I took that as a no and sat down. We had a good distance between us but it felt weird. Having Johnny here. Wait when did I start calling him Johnny? I've always called him Johnathan. That's all he's ever been. We've never been close enough to do nicknames. My god what's happening to me.

"So..."

"What movie are we watching?"

"The internship?"

"sure"

We turned on the internship and I would do little "awww look at stuartttt" "oh my godddd stuart is so cuteeeee" "he could run me over and i would thank him" You know all the sayings. Johnny- Johnathan rolled his eyes everytime. Then.. came the strip club scene. That I completely forgot about. He glanced my way but I would not make eye contact with him during this scene.

That scene lasted ten minutes. Longest ten minutes of my life.

"If you wanna switch the movie we can"

"no it's ok"

Then we just watched the movie. He got up to use the bathroom somewhere towards the end of the movie. When he came back he sat closer to me. He picked the next movie, Shrek 2. I got sleepy and leaned my head back on the wall behind the couch . I guess I ended up falling asleep because I don't remember what happened after that all I know is that when I woke up I was using Johnathan's legs as a pillow.

Johnny's Pov

I chose Shrek 2 for the movie because after that strip climb scene I needed to chill out. Abby doesn't know I actually don't hate her. So while she's making this awkward thinking we have a mutual hatred Im making it awkward because I know it's not mutual. But i'm a guy. And a strip climb scene is gonna turn me on. So I went to the bathroom. I didn't do anything but I had to get out of the room. Away from Abby. Who was a girl.

Anyways when I went back out I sat closer to Abby because it was supposed to be a date. So we needed to get used to closer proximity. After like 20 minutes of Shrek she leaned her head against the wall. I kept watching the movie because Shrek is sexy. You can't change my mind.
