chapter 33

Abby's Pov

Someone is trying to wake me up by shaking me and I wasn't having it. "Stop" I mutter at whoever thinks they can touch me. I try to roll to my other side but I am stopped when I realize there's an arm around my waist trapping me. I slowly start to recall why I was sleeping and what I was going before I was sleeping.

I open my eyes and Johnny is looking down at me smiling. "Hello sleeping beauty" I grunt at his remark and go to sit up.

"Why must you wake me up" I whine and he laughs

"We have to get ready for the reservations I made." Oh right. We're going on a date tonight. This stubborn son of bitch won't tell me where we're going. I don't like surprises. Well, no I like them but they irritate me because i'm impatient.

"Right. I knew that." I say as I start to crawl off of him. I start walking out of the living room and towards my room. "Can you at least tell me how I need to dress?"

"Nice" He shrugs

"Wow thank you for that very vague answer" I roll my eyes and walk up the stairs. I have no idea what i'm gonna wear. The answer "nice" was no help. There are different levels of nice. I go through my closet, throwing clothes all over the floor, trying to find something to wear.

I come across a dress I never wear. It's a navy blue satin dress. It rests about mid thigh and has spaghetti straps. It's a nice dress. I add a pair of navy blue heels that I had bought with the dress. I grab my purse and keys and head down stairs. Johnny is still sitting on the couch. Not at his house. Not getting ready.

"Um, babe?"

He looks up at me and goes to answer but stops and looks me up and down. I snap my fingers and point to my eyes telling him my eyes aren't down there. "Yea?" He asks with a smile

"Why aren't you at your house? You know, getting ready?"

"Right. I should probably do that shouldn't I?" I nod my head and he goes to stand up. He walks towards the door stopping in front of me to give me a little kiss and then continues to the door. He steps out and I follow him because I have nothing better to do.

We walk across the street to his house and he opens the door for me. He goes upstairs while I go to sit on his couch. Danny runs into the living room and jumps on top of me. I laugh and hug him back. "What's up Danny"

"The sky!" he says while giggling like he just told the funniest joke in the world. I laugh at his laugh and then we're both just laughing. Tom, Johnny's brother, walks into the living room and sees me. He does the bro nod thing in my direction and grabs his phone off the coffee table. After he picked up his phone he walks out of the room.

I don't know how Tom feels about mine and Johnny's relationship. He's never shown an interest in getting to know me. I wonder if he just expected me to be another one of Johnny's conquests or whatever. To be honest I kind of was but it was benefiting both of us I feel. Neither of us were really a conquest. He did me a favor but he got the benefit of having the girlfriend perks.

Johnny walks in the room and interrupts my thought process. Let me just tell you he looks amazing. Like no joke. He is drop dead gorgeous. He put on a more casual suit but still a suit with a navy blue tie. So that's why he waited, he wanted to match. That's cute.

"Ready?" The sound of Johnnys voice sets something off in Danny and he turns his head so fast he could've broken his neck. Danny immediately jumps off of me and runs to Johnny.

"Johnny!!" He laughs "Where are you going?"

"I'm taking my girlfriend out bud" Johnny squats down so he's the same height as Danny

"Can I come?" Danny tries to give Johnny the puppy dog eyes but it doesn't work.

"Maybe next time. Tonight is for Abby. Not for you" He offers Danny a small smile and he accepts it. Johnny makes my heart literally melt.

"Okay! Have fun Abby" He runs and gives me one last hug before running up the stairs. I laugh as he does so and turn to Johnny.

"All about me huh?" I smirk and walk towards him

"All about you" He nods and steps towards me as well. In two quick steps he's in front of me and my arms immediately go around his neck. I smile up at him and he smiles down at me. I get on my tip toes. Yes, I still have to go on my tip toes to kiss him even in my heels. give me a break he's tall. He leans his head down and our lips meet.

I will never get used to the feeling of kissing him. It's like it's the first time every time we kiss. He is a part of me now. There's no going back. I pull away before it goes anywhere because we really do have to go.

"Let's go" I start to walk away from him grabbing my bag and my keys off of the couch. We walk to the car together and he opens the passenger seat door for me. I hand him the keys and he heads to the drivers side of the car. He jumps in and starts the engine. He does the hot thing guys do when backing out of a spot. His arm extends to my seat and he turns around to see. As he's turning back around to go straight he winks at me and then retracts his arm from my seat and onto the steering wheel.

It takes about 35 minutes to get to the restaurant he put a reservation for. On the ride there I tried multiple times to get him to tell me. I used so many strategies that usually work but he wouldn't crack. I couldn't think of where he could be taking me. Places here are either fancy or fast food. Nothing someone would call just nice unless he did that to mess with me. If he did, it totally worked.

As we arrive he pulls into the parking lot and I stare at the restaurant in awe. I have never been here because it was too expensive for me. I can't believe he brought me here.

"Oh. My. God." Johnny looks over at me and sees my face. He laughs at my reaction and parks the car. He runs over to my side and opens the door for me taking my hand. We walk to the entrance and walk to the hosts table thing.

"Hello, welcome to La Terrazza"
