The morning arrived, and two people were peacefully sleeping in the room. Irene woke up first and tried to move but found herself unable to because Fiona's hands and feet were tightly wrapped around her body.

Fiona's face was pressed against Irene's neck, and Irene couldn't help but be tickled by Fiona's breath.

Irene found it amusing how her daughter was clinging to her like a tarsier.

"Matagal kong hinintay to, anak. I wish we could have days like this every day," Irene said, her voice filled with emotion as she suddenly started crying. She had always prayed to God for this to happen.

Fiona adjusted her position and held onto Irene even tighter. Irene gently stroked Fiona's baby hairs and planted a kiss on her cheek. She couldn't believe she was finally this close to her daughter.

"Thank you again, Mr. Brown," Irene chuckled, causing Fiona to stir a little.

"Hmmm," Fiona groaned, tightening her embrace once again.

A few minutes passed, and Irene was startled when Fiona woke up, so she pretended to be asleep.

Fiona noticed that her arms and feet were wrapped around Irene's waist, while Irene's arms were also wrapped around her waist. Fiona slightly pushed Irene away, but Irene moved a little, signaling her to stop.

"Gosh! Ano ba 'tong pinasok ko!!!" Fiona hissed under her breath, but Irene heard her. Teasing her daughter brought a smile to her face.

"Hmm..." Irene let out a soft sigh and opened her left eye.

Fiona was startled and felt sorry, so she decided to let Irene sleep until she woke up. Irene grinned, although Fiona couldn't see it because her face was pressed against Irene's neck.

"Kailan ba 'to magigising?" Fiona wondered.

Irene couldn't help but be tickled by Fiona's breath, but she chose to stay in that position.

On the other side, Fiona was grateful for what Irene had done. Sleeping at the right time made her feel happy and content. They stayed in that position for a short while until Irene decided to stop pretending to sleep.

Now it was Fiona's turn to fall asleep while waiting. Irene chose not to wake her up. She got out of bed, kissed Fiona on the cheek, and left the room to prepare breakfast. After a few minutes, Irene returned from her bedroom and noticed Fiona sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Good morning!" Irene exclaimed cheerfully. Fiona simply rolled her eyes and got up.

"Did you get enough sleep?" Irene asked. "Well, you did..." she teased her daughter.

Fiona smirked. "Stop making fun of me!"

"I'm not, really... Come on, I cooked breakfast, nang," Irene said, trying to suppress her laughter.

Fiona just rolled her eyes and went downstairs without waiting for her mother. Irene hurried to catch up with her. Fiona changed her direction and took a seat as Irene pulled out a chair for her.

"Oh," Irene uttered. She smiled at her, but Fiona gave her a death stare.

"Sungit," Irene said quietly.

"Mana sayo... tsk," Fiona said, avoiding Irene's gaze.

Irene chuckled, "Wala akong narinig anak."

"Whatever!" Fiona uttered, rolling her eyes.

"You should leave. I don't want you here, Maria Victoria," she said coldly,
