Following the intense argument and after Imee left, Irene rushed to her car and headed straight to the airport. She didn't need to return home to Forbes for her passport as she always carried it with her.
She decided to fly to New York from Laoag International Airport. She stepped on the gas and drove as fast as she could, not paying little heed to the vehicles ahead of her.
"Yong violin na nirarason mo sa 'kin ngayon, pwede pang maayos 'yon pero 'yong mga nangyayari ngayon? Jusko lord, hindi ko alam kung maaayos pa."
Her tears began to fill her eyes. "Ang tanga tanga mo kasi, Irene. I know the violin was important, but Fiona was even more so. Stupid, stupid," she muttered as she pumped the steering wheel, causing it to make some erratic movements.
Someone honked at her and rolled down his car window.
"Miss," The man said, scratching his head,
"Kung lasing ka, huwag ka munang mag drive. Malapit mo ng mabangga 'yong kotse ko. Pambihira naman." Irene let out a sigh.
She drove at a fast pace and made a few overtakes. Other drivers shouted at her, but she simply ignored them and continued driving past them.
"Kung papayagan lang ako ni Greggy, gustong kunin ni Rody sa inyo si Fiona."
Her tears continued to stream down her cheeks. She muttered, "I'm sorry, Stell..."
Upon reaching the airport, she quickly parked her car. She wiped away her tears and composed herself before getting out of the car. To disguise herself, she wore a hijab and dark glasses.
She entered the airport, grabbed her handbag, and proceeded directly to check-in. She then went to her gate and waited for a few more minutes for her flight.
When her flight number was called, she got up and boarded the plane.
She bit her lower lip, trying to figure out where to begin searching for her daughter.
"Should I call Denise?" she thought. She paused just as she was about to select Denise's name.
"No, Irene. If you call her panigurado malalaman ni, Fiona." She whispered to herself. Sumandal naman siya sa inuupuan niya.
"Gaga ka ba, Irene?" she thought.
"Kaya nga pupunta ka ng NY to find her. Tawagan mo na." She let out a sigh.
The airplane started to move after some announcements were made.

Hours passed...
After hours of flying, she finally arrived in New York. She embraced herself and let out a deep sigh.
She said to herself, "You can do this, Luna..."
She then began searching for a car that would take her to the hotel where she would be staying.
Once she checked in and received the room key, she went to her room to rest and contemplate the possible whereabouts of her daughter and Denise.
The weather in New York was beautiful, and she wondered if Denise's family, along with Fiona, might be out exploring at this time.
She opened the GPS on her phone and was fortunate to find that Fiona's GPS was turned on, allowing her to see that her daughter was at the Manhattan mall.
She quickly got out of bed, gathered her belongings, and headed to the mall to find her daughter. As soon as a car stopped in front of her, she hopped in.
