She lies down on her bed and let herself drown in her imagination.

....

Following the call, Fiona made the decision to reach out to her Tita Imee to ask for permission to travel to Ilocos. Her aunt answered the phone after it had rung three times.

["Nang?" Imee said when she finally answered the call.]

["Tita.... Magpapaalam po sana ako." Fiona said, her voice broke.]

["Bakit malat ang boses mo? Umiiyak ka naman ba?" Imee queried.]

[Fiona then sobbed. "Tita, can I go to Ilocos?" she asked.]

Imee asked.]

["Please, tita?" Fiona asked, biting her lower lip. Imee sighed.]

["Oh sige, ako na bahala magsabi sa parents mo," she said, and Fiona hung up the phone.]

Fiona let out a sigh and walked over to the large window. She stood there, letting the wind brush away her tears.

"Hanggang kailan ako pagbibintangan sa mga hindi ko naman ginawa? Lord, nakakapagod na, nakakapagod na mabuhay." she whispered, raising her finger to feel the wind. She let out another sigh.

....

Irene drove herself to Ilocos in just a few hours. She couldn't stop crying. She couldn't believe what had happened. She reached out and touched the violin beside her.

"Daddy..." she whispered.

She parked the car near a large tree and buried her face in the steering wheel.

She wanted to see her mother and find comfort in her presence. She started the engine again and drove to Ilocos. After a short while, she arrived at the mansion and got out of her car.

"Mommy?" she called as she entered the living room. Imelda had just come out of her room.

"Sweetheart... What's wrong? Wait, are you crying?" Imelda asked. Irene nodded and went to hug her mother.

"Daddy..." she sobbed, hiding her face against Imelda's neck.

"Daddy?" Imelda asked, rubbing her back. Her crying grew even louder.

"'Yong v-violin na bigay ni daddy, mommy..I-i can't believe na sisirain ni, Fiona.." Irene cried hard to Imelda's chest.

"Violin? your father's last gift? bakit naman sisirain ni Fiona?" Imelda asked.

"Ewan ko mommy... I saw her, holding my violin after she shattered it into pieces." Irene replied.

Imelda frowned; she knows her granddaughter. Fiona didn't do it.

"Rene.... I don't think Fiona will do it; I know her nak," Imelda said softly to her daughter.

"Remember what happened 12 years ago? You blamed her for what happened to Andy, and guess what, hindi naman pala siya ang may kasalanan..." she added as she stroked Irene's back.

"Mommy, sino ang gusto mong pagbintangan ko? sila manang? alam nila na hindi ko pinapagalaw ang mga gamit doon. Si Clara naman pumunta doon pero kinuha lang daw yung libro tsaka umalis na." Irene said.

"Alam kong hindi niya pa akong kayang patawarin pero huwag naman sana umabot sa punto na pati ang violin na binigay ni daddy sisirain niya. Yun nalang yung ala-ala ko kay dad, mommy." Irene added, crying.
