....
Morning came, and Irene was abruptly awakened by the sound of her phone ringing.
["Hmm?" Irene mumbled, rubbing her eyes. She heard Fiona's voice on the line.]
["Eneri, 'yong pinto ng kwarto niyo naka lock! Hindi ako makapasok! Kailan pa kayo natutong mag lock ng pinto, huh?" Fiona complained. Irene glanced at the caller ID and saw that it was Fiona.]
["Naka lock ba? I didn't lock it. I think your dad did. Why? Why did you call?" Irene asked, puzzled. She heard Fiona sighing.]
["Naka lock nga, e. Paano ako makakapasok? Alangan naman sirain ko kwarto niyo. Gosh, kay aga aga, Eneri. May chika ako sayo." Fiona exclaimed. Irene leaned against the headboard.]
["What is it?" Irene asked.]
["The mural painting, mommy!" Clara's voice came through the phone. Irene remembered the unfinished mural.]
["Oh, yeah! The mu-]
[Fiona cut her off. "Shh, maririnig ka ni, daddy. Andiyan ba siya?" Fiona asked.]
["Sleeping while snoring. Pupunta ako diyan sa inyo. Wait for me there. I'll hang this up." Irene replied and ended the call.]
Irene looked at her husband, Greggy. She knew that today was his special day, but she had planned something and pretended to forget it. "Happy birthday, my love..." she whispered, gently touching his nose.
Irene slowly untangled Greggy's arms from around her waist. She was about to get up when Greggy hugged her again.
She gently touched her forehead because of what her husband did. Slowly, she removed Greggy's embrace.
She managed to get up and was about to stand when Greggy pulled her back and hugged her tightly. "I need to sleep, hon. Just 5 more minutes," he murmured.
Greggy rested his head on Irene's chest, making it difficult for her to escape. Irene sighed, thinking, "How am I going to get out of this now?"
Irene gently caressed Greggy's hair and lightly tapped his cheeks. "Kung hindi ka lang talaga pogi." she chuckled. Slowly, Greggy returned to his original position but still held onto Irene.
"Forgetting something?" Greggy whispered. Irene knew exactly what he was referring to.
"Huh? may nakalimutan ba ako? you mean, morning kiss?" Irene asked. "I'm sorry. Osige." She added and kissed his lips. "I love you.." She uttered. Greggy kept his eyes closed, sighing softly.
"Irene..wala ka bang nakakalimutan ngayong araw na 'to?" Greggy asked her. Irene held his hand and shook her head.
"Wala, e. I need to prepare breakfast for the twins, Greggy. Babalik ako mamaya." Irene whispered, biting her lip. He smiled faintly. Irene was about to get up when Greggy pulled her again, this time ending up on top of her. Irene widened her eyes.
"What the hell, Greggy," Irene said, slapping his muscular arm.
"Nandiyan naman sila, manang. I'm sure tulog pa yung mga bata ngayon." Greggy whispered, seductively.
"Kung ano man yang nasa isip mo ngayon, isantabi mo 'yan." She warned him but Greggy smirked.
"You tried to seduce me last night for the second time. If you don't mind, let's do it for the second time again, my dearest darling," Greggy whispered. Irene covered her face.
"I'm not seducing you, Mr. Araneta. Now, let me go," Irene said, trying to escape, but she couldn't find a way. Greggy looked at her.
"Irene, I'm serious. Haven't you noticed the date? Are you really not forgetting anything? This isn't just an ordinary day, hon," Greggy said. Irene raised an eyebrow.
