SC: Mother's Day

Greggy woke up at 5:30 in the morning. He kissed Irene's forehead and stood up to check on their twins who were sleeping in the crib.

Irene slept late last night because of their babies. They were already 3 months old.

He checked his phone for messages. "Mother's day..." He murmured as a notification popped up on his phone.

He shook his head and washed his face. He grabbed his wallet and his car key.

He drove his car to the Dangwa Flower Shop. He thought of buying her favorite flowers and cooking her favorite foods.

"Manang bouquet po..." Greggy uttered as he entered his favorite flower shop. "Oh, Hijo ikaw pala. Yung dati ba?" Manang Nelia asked.

Greggy nodded and smiled. He always orders a mixture of peonies, tulips, and roses in a bouquet. Irene loves it, she feels like she's so special to him.

"Kamusta ang buhay may asawa, iho?" Nelia asked. Greggy smiled. "Masaya po manang. Sobrang saya..." He said, proudly.

"Nakailan ka na?" Greggy laughed and shook his head. "Unang anak palang manang pero nakadalawa agad ako." He giggled.

Nelia's eyes widened. "Aba! Ang galing naman." She replied while fixing the bouquet. She added a bit of lilac to it. "Ayan, mas lalong gumanda." She uttered while handling the bouquet.

"Magugustuhan 'to ni, Irene. Iho, ikamusta mo nalang ako." Nelia said. Greggy nodded and waved his hand.

He went outside and stepped into his car and drove himself out of the flower shop.

He went first to the supermarket to buy squid and make her favorite calamares. He also ordered a whole lechon baboy for her. He also bought a cake from Contis. He bought everything of her favorites. He then drove his car to their house and set up everything before her wife woke up.

When everything was ready, he went upstairs to check on his wife. He smiled as soon as he saw her carrying the other twin who was crying while the other one was still sleeping peacefully.

He gave a peck on her lips. "Oh, I thought you went to work na," Irene said while dancing with the baby. "Nah, I won't go to work today." He wrapped his arms around her waist, hugging her from the back. "Why?" She asked.

"It's your special day... Happy mother's day, love." He kissed her cheeks.

"Hmm..Thank you, love." Irene said as she kissed his lips. Greggy frowned. 

"What happened to this little cute monster? Bakit umiiyak 'to?" He asked as he took the crying Clara out of Irene's hands.

"I think, she misses you, darling. Kanina pa 'yan umiiyak, e." Irene replied. "Ito namang si Manang Fiona natin, ang likot tas mamaya tutulog ulit." She added and chuckled.

Just then, Fiona woke up and cried. "Speaking of.." Irene giggled and took Fiona to carry her. "Hello, baby!" Greggy kissed her forehead.

"Oh, they're both crying. I think they need your milk na." Greggy said. Irene chuckled and went to bed as she fed the babies with her milk.

"Ba yan, ako dapat yan e." Greggy scrunched his nose. "Shh! Tumigil ka nga." She rolled her eyes.

"Pwede ako din?" He asked her. Irene glared at him. "Magsitigil ka, Gregorio kung ayaw mong magtanim ako ng sama ng loob sayo." She added and kept breastfeeding the twins.
