....
Irene, Greggy, and their twin daughters were all caught up with their work that week. They rarely saw each other, sometimes missing meals together.
"I've called the girls, they'll be here soon for dinner," Irene told Greggy, who was busy working on his laptop.
"Come on, it's time for dinner and you're still working. Avian is looking for you," Irene added.
Greggy moved his chair to face Irene, making room for her to hug him.
"Hey, I'm sorry... Let me hug you first," he said as he embraced her.
Irene sat on his lap, giving a gentle kiss on his nose. "Enough work for now. Let's go downstairs," she said softly.Greggy nodded and they held hands as they walked downstairs. Irene had already informed the twins, who confirmed they would be joining them for dinner.
Meanwhile, Avian was engrossed in his iPad games in the living room.
"Honey, stop playing. Your sisters will be here soon," Irene told her son.
Avian put down his iPad with a frown. "Your dad is looking for you; he's in the dining room," Irene added.
Avian gave her a kiss on the cheek as he hugged her neck. "I love you," he said softly, winking, and then went to Greggy.Irene was touched by his sweetness. "I love you more!" she exclaimed as she walked to the gate to wait for the twins.
The twins arrived home a few minutes later. They ran to their mom, who was waiting for them.
"You waited for us," Fiona said, kissing her cheeks. "Of course..." Irene chuckled. Clara also kissed her cheeks.
"Pasok na tayo, nandon na yung mag-ama." Irene said and held their hands. Clara laughed, "Kaya pala hinintay tayo e.""Kasi, OP nanaman," Fiona jokingly said. Irene just laughed and rolled her eyes.
They left their bags on the couch and went to the dining room, where they saw their father cuddling with Avian.
"Maybe if your older brother Andy was alive, you wouldn't bother me this much because you'd have a playmate," Greggy explained. Fiona and Irene paused to listen to their conversation."I know Kuya Andy will not be interested on me. He'll be the same with you, mommy and achi nangnang and Clangclang." Avian replied. Greggy looked at him, confused.
"What do you mean, Av?" Greggy asked as Avian entertained himself with his toy on Greggy's chest.
"He will be busy in company too, daddy. You guys are busy na, e. You have no time for me, I'm always at mamita's house. I don't have kalaro." Avian responded.
Greggy felt guilty and regretful for not spending time with him, having neglected him for a few days due to work, just like Irene and the twins.
Irene approached them, biting her lower lip. "Av, come here," she said softly. She sat Avian on her lap.
"That's not true, my love. Mommy, daddy, and your sisters all love you... We just have to work for your future," she said, gently holding his face.
"And, of course, Kuya Andy would have loved you because he wanted a brother too," she added. Avian looked sad as he listened to his mom. "But you are always busy," he said.
"I'm sorry, my love. But I promise, we owe you a vacation. Tell me where you want to go, and maybe next month, we can go there for you," Irene replied, hugging him."I love you, Avi; don't think we're not interested in you because we really wanted to have you," she said softly.
Greggy sighed as they heard Avian start to cry. "We were so happy when you were born, love; I was the happiest," Irene said, comforting her son.
