...
Days passed by. Their planned surprise birthday turned into a disaster. Greggy informed his daughter that he wouldn't be able to make it up to her due to conflicting schedules. Fiona agreed without hesitation. It was clear that she didn't care about him and had been deliberately ignoring him.
Irene was also caught up in her commitments with various organizations. In short, she was losing time for Fiona, but her daughter didn't seem to mind.
Irene was overwhelmed with all the exhibits she had been attending. She would sometimes forget to eat and rest, but she never forgot to ask about Fiona's day.
Meanwhile, Fiona remained unresponsive. She would only see her mother's messages, whether on social media or through regular texts.
Currently, she was browsing through her gallery, searching for photos to post.
Fiona leaned back in her chair, finding support from the backrest. She sat in the auditorium, waiting for time to pass.
Meanwhile, Denise spotted Fiona, whom she had been searching for. She took a slow step towards Fiona's back and playfully covered her eyes.
"Denise! Let go, gosh!" hissed Fiona, smelling Denise's perfume.
"Sino si Denise?" Denise asked, her voice deep. Fiona smirked.
"Kung ihulog kaya kita dito para tuluyan ka ng magka amnesia, Denise," Fiona yelled.
Denise laughed as she took her hands away from Fiona's eyes.
"Ito naman di mabiro. Ang sungit mo talaga! Buti nalang kaibigan kita." She said and kissed her cheeks.
"Yuck! Yung laway mo Denise, kadiri!" hissed Fiona.
"Anyway, what are you doing here? buti nahanap mo 'ko." Fiona asked. Denise sat next to her.
"Ganyan talaga tanong mo?" Denise asked, peering at Fiona's phone.
"Syempre kanina pa kita hinahanap. Nagpunta pa ako ng library tsaka ng painting room tas dito lang pala kita mahahanap, dzuh." She replied.
"Bakit? may needs ka naman sakin, noh?" teased Fiona. She took a look at her.
"Aba, sino nagsabi? Panget mo kabonding, Celestine," Denise grumbled, but smiled brightly.
"Pero true ka diyan. May pera ka diyan? Bili tayo milktea, sis," Denise pleaded, puppy-eyed.
"Sige na beh, ang init init ng panahon oh. Kailangan natin ng pampalamig," Denise continued.
"Para ka namang hindi Araneta. Libre mo na ako, sis," Denise said, trying to kiss her.
"You're taking advantage of my surname, you idiot," Fiona chuckled, pinching her nose.
Denise insisted, "Tara na kasi! Fionabella, please!"
Fiona sighed and drew Denise aside to buy milktea.
"Yieee. Di mo talaga ako matiis. 'Yong mamahalin atin, ah? Sige na, Nang." Denise pouted at her.
"Yung may cream cheese. Dali naaaa!" Denise tried to shake her shoulder.
"Osige. Pambihirang buhay, oo." Fiona thought.
"Beh, may nakita akong picture sa phone mo kanina. Post mo 'yon, tag mo 'ko, ha?" Denise said, clutching her arms.
Fiona sighed and rolled her eyes. "Tsh, oo na. Anong sayo?" she asked.
