Soobin had heard his doorbell go off a thousand times now. He groaned and rolled out of bed, climbing up his basement stairs and to the door. "Yeah I'm coming!" He yapped, scratching his head while yawning. Seriously who could be over at this late hour? He thought but when he opened the door he was pleasantly surprised to see Beomgyu.
"Oh, what brings you by?" He questioned as he looked down to the boy with puffy red cheeks and swollen eyes. To be honest, Beomgyu didn't even know himself, he knew Yeonjun was uncomfortable with him being so close to Soobin, yet he was still the first person he came running too.
"Soobin~can I stay with you for the night?" He chocked up on his words, feeling guilty for even being there. But it was to late to turn back now, Soobin was the only one he could trust.
The taller frowned his brows in concern as he stepped to the side, allowing Beomgyu to enter. Beomgyu walked ahead of the two, his head held low while avoiding eye contact. He knew where Soobins room was so he showed himself. With each step he took down the stairs, the more his heart stung and his chest grew tight. The more the guilt set in for being there, even know he shouldn't care what Yeonjun has to say anymore. After seeing him like that, after being lied too, he didn't know what to call their relationship anymore. Is this something they could recover from?
"You don't have to sit on the couch you know, you're always free to the bed." Soobin spoke quietly, rubbing the back of his neck as he stood over the boy. To this Beomgyu finally looked his head up, he blinked his eyes slowly from the overwhelming tiredness. "It's your bed, I don't want to make you sleep on the couch again." He mumbled out, almost to faint to hear, as if he were fearful to speak.
Soobin pressed his lips to the side of his mouth, he now sat back on the sofa next to Beomgyu, leaving a little gap of space in-between that was once before never there.
"What are we going to do then? It's far to cold to sleep outside this time." He chuckled deeply, making Beomgyu looks his head over. That's right, back when their friendship was still fresh they fought over who got the bed, in the end they decided on neither and so they slept in Soobin back yard on his trampoline. It was summer then so they stayed warm even in the night. But now it was winter, the weather was harsh and cold and they never knew when it would start snowing.
"Well, I guess we're both getting the bed then." Beomgyu showed his gentle smile back to him. He didn't know what he was saying, he wasn't being rational, however currently what Yeonjun would think was the last thing he wanted on his mind. He started it first, Beomgyu wasn't the type to get revenge usually, but under certain circumstances even that could change. It's not like he was doing anything particularly wrong either, it's not like Yeonjun had the capability to actually care. All his loving emotions were fake, they were a trick, a mask, Beomgyu knew this now.
