He's been out of the hospital for a long while now. Him and his dad were re growing their relationship and they started by eating dinner every night together.

But that's not the only ones who were eating with them, Jisung, Minho, and even Kai on face time.

It was fun hanging out with them every day. It really gave him a chance to re connect with the world. The boys also helped him finish his school so that way in the he could land a nice job.

"Alright dad, the shows starting soon so we gotta go, thanks for dinner." Beomgyu stood up from the table, grabbing everyone's empty plates and taking them to the sink. "Thanks Mr. Choi." Jisung sent a thumbs up making his father chuckle.

"Y'all boys stay safe, and Beomgyu be back by 12 okay." His father requested as they all put on their coats.

"Hey look at Bomie growing up, you get to stay out an hour later than usual." Minho teased, nudging his shoulder. "Very funny." Beomgyu rolled his eyes while putting on his black and yellow spotted bennie.

The three boys then headed out, kicking up the peg of their bikes. "How you gonna ride with that box?" Jisung questioned as Beomgyu had a card board box in his hand.

"I've been riding bikes since I was 17, I'm kinda a professional you know."

The two others tsked and where now the ones to roll their eyes. "You're only 20." Beomgyu was quick to snap back though, putting the heat one someone else. "Okay and Minho is 21 and still can't drive so maybe that should be the real concern."

"I'm working on it!" The other yapped back.

The three road fast, trying to beat the sunset. They were heading towards the park where the fire works would be held due to the new year.

"We'll we finally made it, with Beomgyu still in once peace." Jisung snorted at the fact the boy kept falling off his bike.

"So, you gonna tell us what's in the box?" Minho rose his chin up.

Beomgyu smiled while shaking his head and now sat it on the grass, opening it up.

"A varsity jacket?" The two questioned. "Yep!"

Beomgyu short simple responses only confused them more. "What you doing with it?"

After that, Beomgyu pulled a lighter out of his pocket. "Burning it."

The two adults looked at each other, and then back to Beomgyu who was now on his phone face timing Hueningkai.

The three have been friends long enough now to know his deeper secrets. They knew about Yeonjun and his story, his mother, and Soobin.

"Listen Bomie, me and Jisung are right here with you to help you light that flame!" "Yeah, what Minho said, we're proud of you." Jisung ruffled through Beomgyus light brown hair.

A flush spread to his cheeks as a giggle left his lips. "Thanks, I actually do have in important job for you." Beomgyu said, pointing to Jisung. "Me? What is it?"

"Hold Kai so he can see too." Beomgyu passed him his phone. "Hii Kai!!" Both Jisung and Minho cheered making the other laugh and cheer back.

They now all sat on the grass in a circle. Beomgyu laid the jacket on the ground and with in seconds lit the flame of his lighter.

From there, he lit the end of the jacket, the flame entrancing him.

In it, he saw his past, who he once was. The trauma, the dependency, the tears. His old friend, their past relationship. It all burned in front of him. He then took out one more thing from his pocket, a note that was now wrinkled. He set that gently in the flame, watching the ashes burn.
