When you love someone, you never let them go. No matter how hard things get, no matter how hopeless the situation might be. Love out weighs that. When you truly love someone, you'll fight for the love you have.So why were they no longer fighting for theirs?
"Beomgyu, stay safe for me okay."
"You're really just going to leave me?"
"Maybe in the future we'll see each other again, when the timing is right we can start over. For now, I need both of us to heal on our own."
He knew what Yeonjun was saying was right, and he knew he should listen, but it hurt so much to listen.
"But what about everything we've been through? Am I really supposed to just forget that?"
"You don't have to force yourself to forget, but I think it's wise to move on."
Move on, from both the pain and suffering, heart ache and abuse, as well as the laughter, joy, euphoria and love.
The boys stared at each other, Beomgyu had already gotten out of the car but still looked through the open window. They were right outside his house, yet he felt scared to move from his stance. He knew the moment he did, Yeonjun would drive away, and this time, he really wasn't coming back.
"It's Christmas Eve you know, I had a present planned for you but I never got the chance to get it."
Beomgyu spoke with lingering sadness as the two were sharing their final good byes.
"You've given me enough already, you've shown me how to love."
Beomgyu watched how the tears left Yeonjuns eyes as well, he wore a blush on his face, he loved the light color that shined on his cheeks.
"Here, take this."
Yeonjun unbuckled and reached into his pocket, from there, he pulled out the guitar pick necklace that held many emotions behind it.
"Keep it safe for me okay."
Beomgyu swallowed hard, the heat in his throat was unbearable. He shakily reached his hand back through the window.
He felt the softness of Yeonjuns touch latch on his own, he gave him the necklace and then rolled Beomgyus hand into a fist. Then, he latched their pinkies together.
"I promise I love you." He brought their pinkies to his lips, giving it a small lick and kiss, and after, his car drove away, going slow and fading out of sight.
The wind tickled Beomgyus cheeks, he stood in place, watching him leave, holding the necklace tight, whispering to himself while bringing his own pinky up to his lips. "I promise I love you."
~~~
When he was ready, he grew the courage to walk back into his home. He clipped the necklace on and then walked up the porch step, slowly opening the door, the sound of it creaking echoed through the whole house.
