The walk to the library was dreary and damp. We could feel the moisture in the air as the heavy winds blow all around us. The weather was getting worse, and we were starting to see lighting, we could tell that the storm would be here soon. From the look of it the storm would last a few days.

The wind was picking up and my hair was getting thrown in my face, so I had to keep brushing it out of my eyes.

"Stupid wind! Why does it have to do this now?!"

"Come on Cass it is only a little wind, I'm sure it will be fine!" Frits had to raise his voice over the wind so I could hear him, at this point the wind was sounding like a jet engine.

"You were always one for storms, pirate."

"Yar, what can I say! A pirate can get bored easily on that vast ocean!" It has been so long since we could actually feel like are old selves. Ever since that day we have always been so out of it. Maybe after we finishes this, we can finally start to relax and let go. To live are lives. We could maybe all be happy again.

I was about to tell a joke back to retort this but before I could we both heard a crash. We both froze and we turned to look at the direction of where the sound was coming from. I was frozen in fear, and I was practically shaking. But why would I be so scarred it's not like hearing a crashing sound outside during a storm is an uncommon occurrence.

"Fritz, what was that?!" my voice had panic in it, I didn't like this. For some reason this sound sent a big shiver down my spine, and I felt as if I was eight years old again. I felt something I haven't felt since my eight-birthday party. I could feel a presence I haven't felt in so long.

 His presence.

"Cass calm down. It is only something falling because of the storm."

"No, it's not! It doesn't sound like it!"

Fritz walks closer to me and he puts his hands on my shoulders to comfort me.

"Cass just breath. I'm here for you."

I start to take Fritzs advice, and I take a minute to take deep breaths.

"We can stop for a moment if you would like, I'm sure the others would understand." Fritz voice sounds very concerned. I know he is worried about me. Me and him have always been close. I was always his first mate for his crew on the playground. I was always partners with him on school projects. I was always there for him, and he is always there for me.

"No, I'm fine! The sooner we make it there the better!" I am having a complete panic attack right now. I am sweating even though it is pretty chilly because of the storm air.

We then start to walk forward but before we can even get two feet, we hear the same sound again. But this time I can hear it more clearly. It sounded like something heavy moving across the ground.

Something metal

"Run!!!!" My words are so loud that I even rival the sound of the storm itself. I didn't have to tell Fritz twice; he knew that this was a serious situation. We both started to run like are lives depended on it (which it did) we both had a look of terror in are eyes. I know what is after us. I couldn't thank Fritz more for understanding what I was trying to tell him. He knew me and if I was sure that something was after us, he won't think twice about trusting me.

As we ran as the sound was getting louder by the second. I could make out the sound of metallic footsteps behind us. The thing sounded as if it was moving in an erratic motion. If we kept up at this pace, then it would reach us, and my worst nightmare would come true.

My thoughts are interrupted when I hear a gasping sound and I look to my side and see Fritz trip. In all of my terror I completely forgotten about Fritz being blind. He was able to keep up with me even when the storm was blocking out all the sound around us, but he couldn't keep it up.

I run over to Fritzs side, and I look at his face and I see a look of pour terror. I knew that by the time I got Fritz up that thing would get to us. A crazy idea then comes into my mind, an idea that I have to fight all my instincts on just to go through with it.

"Fritz run! I'll catch up with you!"

"Cass what are you saying!" Fritzs face then turns into a look of absolute horror. I thought I couldn't have seen a more terrified face then the one I seen when he fell, but the look he has now that he realizes what am doing couldn't compare to this.

"No! Cass you can't-" but he is interrupted by me running ahead of him. And what I see is so terrifying that it makes my eight-year-old birthday party look like the funniest day ever.

The lighting illuminates the figure standing eight feet in front of me. The first thing I notice is decrepit color of metal along with the dark red color of red blood all over him. The figure never stopped twitching; I could fell the badness aroma around him. The color on the figure looks as if it had been yellow once but that time as long come and gone as it know is in a rotten yellow color. The figure had the appearance of a bunny, but the right ear is broken, and the body has long since withered down to the point that you could see what was inside of it. And inside of it was an image that would forever be burned into my brain.

It was a human body long rotten.

I don't know how I didn't drop dead from fear right then and there. Maybe it was because of my concentration on my mission of saving Fritz. Maybe it was my desire to face the nightmare that has been haunting me all my life. Or maybe it was both.

I took a deep breath, and I took a step forward.

The thing lets out an inhuman screech and it springs forward. Yet I was not it's main target.

It was Fritz

Authors Notes:

He is here. What is going to happen with Fritz?! And it looks like Cassidy is ready to take the first step into recovery and comfort the horrors. I first didn't know if I should let them make it to the library and then Springtrap shows up, then I thought about having them escape Springtrap. But I decided it was time to up the stakes by having this happen. I hope all of you are doing well and I would like to thank all of you for helping me get this story up to 372 reads at this time. I hope you are all like this so far, I couldn't be more grateful.
