Ross' POV

I held Laura's smaller hand in mine as we walked inside of the school again at about eight o'clock. "Laura, you're so nervous! Why?"

She looked as if she'd literally kill me. "Ross, I have a solo tonight. Everyone will stare me down, and I will freak out!" I laughed as we were finally inside, kissing her cheek.

"Whatever."

She rolled her eyes at me, walking up to the sign up sheet. Before she put her name down, she sighed. "Ross, I can't... I change my mind." She tried to walk away, but I turned her around with a smile.

Laura's POV

"Nope, (danisnotonfire- Nope, nope, nopety, nope, nope. biz. uk lol) you aren't going any where." I whined and punched his shoulder slightly as I pouted. "Can you at least do a duet with me?"

Ross looked thoughtful. "I dunno, Laur... I'm not really talented in that way." (Pfft... you liar.) I stared at him in a dumbfounded manner. "You're kidding right?"

"Ross, you dance. You sing. You act. You play guitar. You play piano. You're basically an american heart throb."

He laughed loudly, suddenly stopping when he realized I was serious.

"You're doing a duet," I heard someone asked from behind us. We turned to see Calum and Raini, "Yep!" I signed mine and Ross' names, him looking shocked.

Then he pouted, "I didn't know."

"And last but not least at the school's parent event, Ross Lynch and Laura Lynch." I blushed deeply as the announcer messed up my last name (girl please, he didn't mess up, it was your destiny!), but got up anyway for us to go onto stage.

Ross breathed deeply as we were up there, and he smiled at me when he pulled his guitar over his shoulder. He began to strum it slightly, and everything got quiet.

I grabbed my microphone and quietly began to sing.

"When you're own your own. Drowning alone. And you need a rope that... can pull you in... someone 'll throw it."

Then Ross started.

"And when you're afraid... that you're gonna break. And you need a way to feel... strong again. Someone 'll know it."

Then we sang together.

"And even when it hurts the most. Try to have a little hope. Cause someone's gonna be there when you don't. When you don't.!"

We sang loudly, with a lot of energy. People were clapping along to the beat, cheering quietly. I could tell they really enjoyed us.

Ross' POV

When we finished, people stood and clapped loudly, whistling (my reaction when I first heard the song lol) as me and Laura looked at each other.

"Ross?" "Yeah, Laur?" She stood on her toes and pressed her lips to mine, me kissing her back instantly.

"You can come to me."
