raura one shots

You guys make me smile :)... So I'm going to make you sad

Okay so I've been sick all day and I kept getting notifications about all of you beautiful people commenting on my stories and tell me you all wanted me to update some of my stories, so I did. And I thought, "What way to show them how much that I love how they make me smile?" And me being the messed up person I am decided, "Why not make them sad with a one shot that'll make them cry their eye balls out until they're sore?" By the way, the title is "Look in the flowers." :)

Laura woke happily on January 19th (yep, I made it my birthday ^·^). She couldn't wait! What with all of what she had been hearing Riker, Rydel, Ratliff, and Ryland talking about, Ross would be proposing to her today!

She hopped out of bed, right as she got a text from Ross:

Meet me at the beach, ;) ~Mr. Marano

She giggled, instantly texting him back, a wide smile spread across her face.

Of course ;) ~Mrs. Lynch

She went into the bathroom, hopping in the shower. After getting out, she put on a floral red dress, with ruffles at the end. She knew that Ross like this one most on her, smiling to herself in the mirror as she pulled on her wedges.

Laura got to the beach, searching it for the tall blonde she was hoping to be married to pretty soon. She smiled when she found him, frowning slightly when she realized all he was wearing was jeans and a shirt...

Guess he's going for the casual look... don't really have to look fancy to propose I guess.

She walked across the beach, her smile widening when she saw Ross hiding something behind his back. When she finally reached him, he whistled, her cheeks automatically matching her dress.

"You look beautiful" he smiled. She smiled back, giggling slightly, "Thanks." He smiled wider, leaning down to peck her lips.

He leaned back up, clearing his throat. "Laura... I've been in love with you for.... the longest time." She nodded. "And, I really... just... I feel like this will explain it more." (I bet all of you guys are just squealing your heads off in joy right now.)

And with that, he got on one knee... (You're all fangirling, aren't you?) "Hand" he smiled, putting his out. She giggled like a girl talking to her crush over the phone, putting her hand in his.

"Laura Marie Marano" he took a deep breath and she did as well. She was so not prepared for what was about to happen.

"Happy anniversary" he smiled, pulling out roses and putting them in front of her. (Bam, all your dreams ruined, no ring.) "Yes!!- Wait, what?"

The girl stared down at the roses angrily as her boyfriend stood. "Happy anniversary-" "What the h*ll?!" He flinched at her outburst. "What? Laura-" "Ross, do you not love me?! Is that why you don't want me Ross, because you've been pretending to love me?! I hate you Ross!"

Bang.

Suddenly screams were heard and people began running. Ross looked back, a man stood there with a gun.

"Oh my god!" Laura was terrified. "Laura, run" Ross told her. "N-No!-" "Laura, go now!" Laura grabbed her roses and went as fast as she could in her wedges. That is, until she heard another shot.

She looked back and the entire world seemed to be going in slow motion as Ross fell to the ground, the gunman standing tall above him. "Ross" she screamed. The man ran away, people all rushing toward Ross.

Laura ran over, falling to her knees next to Ross as she began sobbing her heart out. She placed a hand on his chest, blood pouring out on her hands as she screamed.

"Someone freaking call an ambulance!" "L-Laura" Ross stuttered. She looked down at him, sobbing her heart out. "Ross I didn't mean it- I d-didn't mean it all, I love you s-so much" she sobbed.

"L-Love you too" he wheezed. "Laura, l-look in the flowers for me... please" he mumbled, closing his eyes. She froze. "R-Ross? Ross open your eyes." Ross went limb, no longer breathing, causing Laura to panic.

"No! No! No, NO!"

At the hospital, Laura cried and cried, with the comfort of Raini and Calum by her side, along with the Lynch's and Ratliff. Well, all except Stormie and Mark, who refused to talk to her, saying she left Ross behind and shouldn't have left him, even if he begged her to.

"Ross Lynch" a doctor called sadly. Everyone stood, Laura rushing forward, her roses grasped in her hands as she sniffled. "Y-Yes? Is he okay? C-Can we go see h-him?" The doctor sighed.

"Ms... Marano, right" he asked. She nodded, "Yes." They shook hands shortly and the doctor went back to explaining things. "Well, ma'am, when Mr. Lynch got shot-" "Freaking, just tell me what happened to my little brother" Rydel snapped.

"Well... he didn't make it."

And then Laura was sobbing, falling against Riker who hugged her tightly, soon all of them gathering in the hug. "I t-told him I hated him!"

"Laura, shh. He knows you didn't mean it" Rydel cooed. "I'm sorry for all of your loss" the doctor said softly, walking in a different direction.

Laura went home 2 days later, her roses still grasped in hand, some withering. She sat on her bed and took her shoes off, sighing deeply. Then she remembered.

"L-Laura, look in the flowers for me.... please."

She looked down at the roses in her hand, suddenly noticing a card she didn't notice before. She pulled it out, smiling sadly as it said,

"You're the most important thing in the world to me.... So..."

She frowned slightly, opening the card, and gasping at the next thing written in cursive.

"Marry me?"

She looked in the roses again, noticing a black box inside. She pulled out the black box, and began sobbing all over again.

She opened it, crying harder as her and Ross' names were both engraved into the ring....

She should've just looked in the flowers....
