A few hours had passed and all memberd of the team had started the day independently.

Daniel and Lexie had spent the morning off having breakfast at a small bistro in town.

Josh had passed his time playing Candy Crush in bed.

Nick was going over his notes on Rãmarez and Megan had made herself comfortable on the balcony with a book, enjoying the last warm rays of sunshine of the year.

Shortly after noon, the five colleagues had met in the underground parking garage of the hotel as arranged, in order to drive from there in a rental car to the S.W.A.T. base, with which they would work today.

Unlike yesterday, they had swapped their sweatpants for professional-looking work clothes.
And because Megan was quite small in comparison, to the others, it was also quickly decided that she would have to occupy the middle seat, between Nick and Josh.

"Megan?" Lexie was the first to interrupt, the uncomfortable silence that reigned in the car.

"My name."

"Are you still mad?"

"What?" Megan's answers seemed cooler than she wanted them to, merely distracted by the messages from her stepsister, Maria, who was bombarding her with photos of her two-year-old nephew, Tobias.

"The question has gone away. I hope you're at least 100% on the call today."

"Hey Lexie sorry, I was distracted. You know Maria, once she starts sending me photos of Toby, she doesn't stop. "

When Lexie heard about little Tobias, the mood abruptly swung. Megan had told her many times about the little whirlwind and once she even got to see him when he visited his Aunt Megan at work.

It hadn't been three months since he'd strutted through the hallways of FBI headquarters in a police costume as if he were already one of them.

"How's the little guy? Everything alright?"

"The little bean," Megan affectionately called her nephew like that, "is doing wonderfully. Maria and Kai have even planned to visit us for Halloween."

"Let me guess, he's dressing up as a cop?"

"No, he had an upgrade - he wants to go trick-or-treating as an FBI agent," Megan laughed.
The little boy always managed to lift Megan's spirits even without being present - but with his beady brown eyes and tousled brown hair, that wasn't much of an art either.

"Oh, so the little sleepwalker can laugh too - refreshing.", it now came from Nick, sitting to the left of Megan.

Joshua, who until now had only been staring out the window, could only laugh at Nick's teasing comment, and Lexie and Daniel's heads also turned backwards briefly in curiosity.

"Sleepwalker? What did we miss? Was she running naked through the halls?"

"No, Daniel I didn't run naked trough the halls," Megan replied curtly with a roll of her eyes, hoping that settled the issue.

However, she hadn't done that math with Nick, who seemed to have developed a penchant for putting Megan's nerves to the test.

"No, it wasn't that bad. The little doll here just seemed to have the urge to cuddle."

"Oh, with Josh? That's normal, he's kind of like Megan's living pillow."

"No, I wasn't the pillow, Nick was. I'm ..."

"Oh, too bad we can't listen to the story all the way to the end, because look - we're here," Megan interrupted Josh, who was about to spill the beans, as always.
