Shawn sat on the couch watching TV as he waited patiently for Jace to return home from his maybe-date. It was about 9:45 at night and Maggie was already fast asleep but Shawn couldn't go to bed until he knew Jace got back safely. Luckily, he didn't have to wait much longer. It was just a couple minutes before 10 when he stepped through the front door of the little house downtown.
"Welcome home," Shawn said with a slight smirk. "Where's Chloe?"
"I walked her home," Jace replied shyly as he kicked his shoes off by the front door. Shawn felt a sense of pride at the fact that the teenager had been such a gentleman — whether it was a date or just two friends hanging out.
"Did you guys have fun?"
"Yeah." Jace was blushing. "We had a lot of fun. She's really cool."
"Is she just a friend? Or is it something more?"
"I don't know," he shrugged timidly. "Just friends for now I guess...but I do kinda like her." Shawn smiled and nodded at the response.
"She seems nice. You have my approval. Not that you necessarily need it..."
"Thanks," Jace snorted. "Oh, here's this by the way." He reached into his pocket and pulled out about thirty of the forty dollars Shawn had lent him. "Thanks again for the cash. I actually did end up needing to use some of it so I really appreciate it."
"Did you pay for her too?"
"Yeah."
"Keep it."
"Oh, um...thanks." Jace put the bills back into his pocket.
"You paid for her and you walked her home? I'm impressed, kid."
"Yeah, well...apparently when you have a decent male role model in your life you actually end up being kind of a good guy. Who knew?" he chuckled. Shawn smiled and held his hand out for a fist-bump which the teenager gladly reciprocated. Shawn had learned almost immediately after meeting Jace that he wasn't big on any type of affection...but he'd never reject a fist-bump.
"I think you've always had it in you to be a good guy."
"Maybe. Doesn't mean you haven't helped."
"I care about you, dude. You know that right?"
"I think I'm starting to realize that, yeah." Jace chuckled — the sincerity of the moment making him feel a bit awkward. "I, um...I'm gonna head up to bed."
"Okay. Goodnight!"
"G'night," he called out in reply. Shawn also decided to get ready for bed. He clicked off the TV and turned out the lights, grabbing a cold bottle of water from the fridge before retreating to his own bedroom.
Meanwhile, Camila was back at her apartment with Shelby — both of them a little wine drunk. Camila was starting to feel a bit sleepy but somehow Shelby had convinced her to stay up and drink some more wine while they watched a movie. But although she could resist going to bed, she couldn't resist changing out of her work clothes and into her pajamas. She trudged into her bedroom and stripped off her clothes. She had almost forgotten that she started the day by putting on the same red lace lingerie she had bought shortly after reuniting with Shawn. Her original plan — before being surprised by Shelby — had been to spend the evening with Shawn at his house and then surprise him with the sexy undergarments later that night when they'd be alone in his room. Of course, that's not necessarily how the day ended up going.
Maybe it was the wine, but Camila couldn't help but grab her phone and snap a few pictures in the mirror. Something about the color red always gave her a little extra boost of confidence. She took a few sexy pictures in the lingerie set before deciding to ditch the bra and take a few more photos in only the panties, with her breasts on full display. Perhaps the one she was proudest of, though, was one where she faced away from the mirror to capture the perfect angle of her butt as she flashed a sultry pout over her shoulder. Once she was happy with the photos, she finished stripping and threw on a hoodie and a pair of sweatpants.
