I really wish I could tell you that December has been more interesting.

Besides winning states, November wasn't that interesting either. Except for when my mom basically forced Ella to say hi to me on Thanksgiving.

I knew she was trying to avoid me, it was really obvious. I wish I had more to say to her than happy thanksgiving, but I didn't. At least she hugged me though.

All I'm focused on right now is midterms and hockey. I just have to get through my last two exams today, and then I can relax tomorrow since it's the last day of school before Christmas break.

First up, science. As I walk into school, there is yet another girl waiting for me at my locker. I think she's a junior, because I've seen Justin fool around with her a few times at parties. It literally doesn't matter the grade, sometimes I've had seniors hit on me. It's really weird.

I don't really want to talk to her, since I don't really know her and I need to get to science before Kennedy yells at me for being late. It's not my fault his class is at eight in the morning and I need to be forty million different places at once while still trying to wake up.

I manage to ignore the girl enough to the point where she finally walks away because I wouldn't answer her. I grab my books and sprint to class, making it inside just as the bell rings. I smirk at Kennedy, because he can't say anything to me. I made it on time, no harm done. He rolls his eyes at me and hands me my paper, gesturing me to sit, take my exam, and shut up.

The test is pretty easy, but it would've been way easier if I studied more. It also would've been easier if Ella was still sitting next to me, because she would always help me when I got stuck on something.

I miss her more and more every day, but we don't talk because of my own stupidity. It's also not helping that all of my friends are getting into relationships. Charlie has been with Sadie for two months, Dean and Morgan just started dating, Guy and Connie have been together for who knows how long now, Fulton is talking to this girl who plays lacrosse named Faith, Luis is still with Mandy, Julie is with Scooter, and of course all of the other guys on the hockey team have girls lined up to be with them.

The period couldn't have gone by any slower, I seriously thought I was going to fall asleep when I finished my test. I don't really care how I did to be completely honest. As long as I pass, I'll be fine.

The rest of the day also goes by really slowly. I think I did fine on my math exam, so that takes care of tests for the year. We don't have practice today or tomorrow, and I convince Wilson to let me and the Ducks fool around at the rink for a few hours. That definitely helps take my mind off of everything going on.

The janitors finally force us to leave around six, and Mrs. Conway ends up taking me, Guy, Charlie, Dean, and Fulton to the mall so we can buy Christmas gifts for our family and girls. I don't know why guys always wait until the last minute to buy gifts, but it's just the way we are.

The funniest part is when Dean starts complaining about what to buy Morgan, since her birthday and Christmas are the same day.

"How about Bath and Body Works?" I suggest. "Girls like perfume and lotion and things like that."

"Yeah, but how am I supposed to know what flavor she likes?" he whines.

Guy starts laughing hysterically before patting Dean on the back. "Scents dude. They're called scents, not flavors."

"Same thing." he huffs. The guys and I just laugh at him before walking inside and getting lost in the store full of body products.

Dean ends up picking a gift bag with things in the scent Japanese Cherry Blossom, and he only picked it because he thought the things in the bag smelled good. I don't think he realizes that Morgan has to think the products smell good since they're for her, but he'll get there eventually.
