Beep Beep Beep!!!

The sound of my alarm jolts me awake, and I groan at the noise. I reach over to my phone and turn my alarm off, then cover my face with my hands as I force myself to sit up. I hate waking up early, especially for school.

I walk over to my dresser and grab a white lace tank top with ripped jeans. I want to look nice for my first day and first week of school. I'll stop caring after that, because the weather will start changing. Knowing me, I'll end up wearing leggings and sweats until the beginning of May.

Once I've gotten myself dressed, I go into my bathroom and plug in my curling iron

Once I've gotten myself dressed, I go into my bathroom and plug in my curling iron. As I wait for it to heat up, I brush my teeth, wash my face, and put on some makeup. I keep it simple with just some concealer to cover my dark spots, some blush, highlighter, and mascara, because I want to look somewhat put together on my first day of high school.

Once I've finished getting ready, I quickly curl my hair and put on the necklace my grandma gave me. I run back into my room and grab my favorite sneakers, a pair of socks, and my water bottle before grabbing my two bags and bolting downstairs.

I'm so nervous for today that I barely eat the waffles my dad made for me, and Tyler thinks it's hysterical that I'm freaking out over high school. But in my defense, who wouldn't? I'm going to one of the best prep schools in all of Minnesota!

One positive about school is that I'm going to have my friends with me, and I really don't know how I'd survive without them. Speaking of friends, Maya still hasn't texted us back, which is so weird. We texted her yesterday and this morning, but she hasn't answered any of our texts. It also makes for a tough situation because now we can't carpool with her like we originally planned.

Tyler takes his car, so he got to leave way before me. If there's one thing I hate the most in the world, it's being late. As I'm beginning to stress about not making it on time, I hear a honk outside.

I take a breath of relief and give both my parents a quick kiss on the cheek before running outside and shutting the door. I hear my mom yell something along the lines of a "good luck!" as the door closes behind me, which makes me smile.

I throw my bags into Mrs. Andersen's trunk, and hop into the back with Sadie. I hear another door open as I'm shutting the car door, and I turn to my left to see Adam coming out of his house.

There is a huge hockey bag swung over one shoulder and his backpack swung over the other. He's dressed as nicely as it gets for him, which is just a plain white polo t-shirt and some nice shorts. I also watch as Phil pulls his Audi out of the garage, stopping so Adam can open the trunk and throw his stuff inside.

It's a little different this year, because Adam's brother Zach, just started his freshman year of college. He's playing college hockey for the University of Minnesota, which happens to be my absolute dream school.
