"YES! He is perfect!" Morgan shrieks, clapping her hands in excitement.
I facepalm as I watch my friends have an impromptu dance party about suggesting Alex Larson as the guy I should use for my payback on Adam.
For a little context on Larson - Adam and I have known him since kindergarten, and he was Adam's teammate when Adam played for the Hawks. After Adam came to the Ducks, him and James McGill, the biggest asshole to exist, turned on Adam and made his life a living hell for a year until Adam hit his growth spurt. Once that happened, let's just say they didn't pick on him anymore. Larson has tried to become friends with Adam again, but I'm still convinced it was because of Adam's spot on Team USA at the Junior Goodwill Games. Larson's a good guy overall, but he's been influenced by the wrong people.
Adam still hates him, but for good reason. I mean, I don't blame the guy for not wanting to be friends with someone who picked on him for something that was out of his control.
A lot of Edina kids go to prep schools, and Larson certainly is one of them. However, instead of going to Eden Hall, he goes to Hill-Murray, which is in St. Paul.
Once we get back in the dorm, Sadie grabs my phone and facetimes Larson. "Sadie, no! What are you doing?"
She turns around and looks at me like I'm actually insane. "Starting our plan, duh! Oh, hey Alex! We have a question for you."
"Hey El... oh Sadie, hey! How have you been?" his raspy voice comes softly through the phone.
At the mention of my name I crutch over to Sadie's bed and flop down next to her, suddenly super interested in what he has to say.
"I'm good. You sound tired, are you okay?" she asks.
"Yeah, you kind of woke me up." he answers with a chuckle.
Sadie's face suddenly falls. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to."
"Nah it's chill." he responds with a stretch. Damn he got hot. "What did you want to ask me again?"
"Ohhh," Sadie starts. "about that..."
"No no, we don't have to." I say quickly, giving Sadie a nudge, which causes Alex to shift his attention to me.
"Hey El, how are you? Have you and Banksie finally gotten brave enough to start dating yet? Or has he still not grown a pair? You know, he literally would talk about you all the time, and..."
"Yeah, no." I interrupt. "That ship has sailed."
Alex yawns and rolls his eyes. "What did he do now?"
"Uh well, that's part of the payback we wanted to talk to you about." Sadie says, turning her attention to me. "Do you want to tell him or should I?"
I take a deep breath, my stomach dropping at the thought of it. "Well, Adam sort of hooked up with Maya, and," I take a deep breath to calm myself down, because I'm starting to get choked up. "And it was after he told me he loved me, and I just want him to regret it."
Alex is quiet for a minute, but it doesn't take too long before he has his answer. "I know what you're asking, and yeah, I'll do it. When do you want to do this?"
I thought for a second. "How about two on Saturday, my house?"
"Omg this is perfect!" Sadie squeals, causing Alex to laugh.
"I gotta go." he manages to say through his laughs. "Practice in fifteen. See you Saturday El."
I smile at him, feeling proud of the plan that Sadie and I have created. "Bye Alex, see you Saturday."

When I wake up Saturday morning, I feel the most nervous I've ever been in my whole life, and I don't even know why. It's not like I like Larson or anything, we've just agreed to a simple friends with benefits situation.
After eating breakfast, I hobble my way back upstairs and deep clean my room. I usually keep it pretty neat, but I don't want anything to go wrong. I throw on a t-shirt and some thin pajama shorts, open the curtains to let in some natural light, and turn on Gilmore Girls until I get the text that Alex is outside.
I make my way downstairs and open the door, grabbing his hand and dragging him up to my room as fast as I could, but my crutches and boot don't make it easy. The last thing I want to let happen is to have Adam catch us this early into our... situation.
Once we're finally in my room, I shut the door and lock it behind me. It's showtime.
He leans down, letting let his lips stop just inches from mine. "Are you sure you want to do this?"
I plant my lips on his and after a few seconds, pull away to speak. "More than sure."
With my confirmation he leans in, connecting our lips once again. He gently backs me up against my door, and moves his arms around my waist, while I wrap my arms around his neck and deepen the kiss. He picks me up to take the pressure off my ankle, and I wrap my legs around his torso. As he securely holds me in his arms, I start to run my fingers through his soft, fluffy hair.
After a few minutes he puts me down and turns me around, starting to gently back me up towards my bed.
The thing is, my bed is in between two of the windows in my room. And those windows happen to face the street, and the house of the one and only.
Anyway, things between me and Larson are really heating up. His hands are now running up and down my lower back, and my fingers are still entangled in his gorgeous locks. He pulls away quickly to take off my shirt, leaving me standing in just a sports bra and my shorts. He returns his lips to mine, when I suddenly realize that the curtains are still open.
"Alex, wait..." I breathe out in between kisses. "The curtains... they're still open. My parents can't see."
"Okay, so shut them." Larson whispers, as he moves his kisses down to my neck.
With his arms still around me, I turn back around to shut the curtains.
And as I look out my window, I'm met with the heartbroken face of Adam Banks.
I want to feel bad. I really, really do. But I can't. He started this, and he's going to have to deal with the consequences.
I give him a quick smirk before I turn around and cup Larson's face, bringing his lips to mine once again.
I tug at the bottom of Larson's shirt, asking for permission to take it off. He obliges, lifting his arms to help me take it off. I run my hands up and down his bare chest, his solid abs being a perfect resting place for my fingers. I finally decide that Adam has seen enough, so I turn around and shut the curtains, not even bothering to make any eye contact with him.
When the curtains are shut, Larson and I finally get to my bed. I push him back gently, letting him fall onto his back. He sits up and backs himself up until he's sitting against my headboard, and pulls me onto his lap. We continue to make out, and eventually more clothes come off. I'm sure you can guess what happened next. Neither of us were planning for or even thinking about it, but one thing led to another and it just happened.
Do I regret it? No.
Was it perfect? No.
And the reason why?
My first time wasn't with Adam.
