"Let's go back to Kaede's Village!" Inuyasha said with less grace and more confidence.
Moroha, Masami, Kouga and Hijiri were all sitting down looking up at him with blank looks. They had all been called to his office early in the morning at short notice saying that he had a big announcement. This was definitely big.
"Something big happening again? Yay." The words contradicted the tone Masami chose to use.
"Are you sure?" Kouga and Moroha asked.
Inuyasha looked at them and nodded. "I'm sure, but I just want to know, if you want to go?"
"Yeah, if you're going I'm coming with you." Kouga responded honestly.
Moroha and Inuyasha looked at him.
Kouga seemed a bit puzzled till it finally clicked.
"You were asking her.." Kouga, embarrassed, turns over to face Masami leaving Inuyasha and Moroha to talk.
"Embarrassing." Masami told Kouga. Suddenly the wolf demon remembered that he hadn't tasted human meat in a long time.
Inuyasha rolled his eyes at them and went back to Moroha. "Are you okay with going there? If you don't want to, you don't have to."
"I do want to go with you." She reaffirmed. She knew what going there would entail. Meeting the people she's only ever heard stories about, seeing with her own two eyes the place where it all began, and most importantly her mothers final resting place. Moroha wanted to go, she felt ready.
"Okay."

They all stuck around for a bit longer to discuss the "if's" and "if not" in preparation for the trip. It would take around 1-2 weeks just to get there just by carriage. If they used their abilities it would be weird to the other servants/people even if using it would mean the trip could be done over a couple of days. Yet by carriage was their only option.
Slow and steady.
They weren't in a rush anyway.
After a long and tiring conversation they were finally all dismissed to go back to whatever work they had. Kouga really didn't have work per-say but he noticed Masami leaving.
He rushed after him leaving Inuyasha behind just as he was about to speak. Inuyasha watched as Kouga ran out. His mind unwillingly pondered on it.
It was odd, no? Or at least that's how the half demon felt. Kouga has never acted like that before.
It made Inuyasha feel uncomfortable. Annoyance held that moment in its fist and something else that Inuyasha couldn't quite put his finger on. What it was, he wasn't sure. It resembled the times Kouga hit on Kagome. Yet he wasn't sure it was the same, it could not be jealousy. That would imply that Inuyasha didn't like the fact that Kouga is hitting on Masami.....
Well, he didn't like that idea but that doesn't mean he's jealous. That couldn't be true.
Inuyasha pushed those pesky thoughts aside and frowned at the memory of Kouga rushing after him like that. "Changing directions with the wind." He peeved.
"Wind can be pretty troublesome."
Inuyasha was caught by surprise. He looked over following the voice to see Hijiri staring at the door with Inuyasha. He could've sworn everyone had left.
"I don't understand why the wind is how it is." Hijiri sat crisscrossed. He appeared to be in deep serious thought about this subject.
Inuyasha looked back at the closed door. "Me neither."
