Inuyasha decided to try again.

Peace and tranquility.

It was an immediate no go.

Kouga was there....

He sat at that window, back to him once again.

Inuyasha was able to fully take him in. His long black hair, black robes and brown pelt around his waist. The costume change looked good on him.

"Your clothes are different." Inuyasha stated rather plainly. Kouga didn't look back to him. For a second Inuyasha thought he wasn't going to bother to respond too.

"My brothers and sisters presented it to me. It's to cover my wound and keep me warm." He finally answered.

A couple seconds passed and nothing else was said. But a certain question was gnawing at Inuyasha.

"How's your shoulder?"

This caused a reaction out of him. The wolf demon shifted to see his face.

"Do you even know what happened?"

Inuyasha averted his eyes.

"No."

Liar.

"Did you care to find out?"

"No." He responded quicker this time. Lies probably get easier to tell after the first.

In some odd desperate attempt to prove he wasn't the only bad person here, Inuyasha blurts out. "What about my health? How might I be fairing?"

Kouga laughed, mockingly so. "I'm not like you," he spat back. "I already know. I've already asked."

Inuyasha was to speak again, defend himself, but the door opened. Masami came running in without even announcing himself. Breathless, he hands the letter over.

"It's from Lord Hashigawa." His face serious.

Inuyasha takes it and unfolds it. He reads through its contents.

"He wants to invite us there." Inuyasha muttered.

———

Inuyasha had called for an abrupt meeting. Masami, Moroha, Yua, and Mr.Furukawa. They sat around interacting, excited to see Kouga after a while. Each one went up to him asking how he was and what had been doing.

Neither Kouga or Inuyasha realized how popular he's become here.

Even Yua who always stayed out of affairs and with Moroha predominantly was glad to see him. They all surrounded him. Telling him how they missed him and so did the maids and staff, he was thought about often.

"I missed the guy being around my place! When should I expect you?!" Mr.Furukawa hollered as he pat him on the wrong shoulder and Kouga winced.

Inuyasha shifted in his seat as everyone else gasped.

Moroha was the first to scold the old man. "You have to be careful! He's still recovering!"

Everyone agreed as Mr. Fururkawa let out an awkward laugh and scratched the back of his head bashfully.

"My bad."

Inuyasha sat himself back down.

He quite loudly clears his throat. They all sit down. Masami near Inuyasha, usually at his other side would be his daughter but she decided to sit with Kouga by the window and Yua nearby. Mr. Furukawa took up his daughter's spot since it was free.

"We have received an invitation from Lord Hashigawa to stay at his estate for a couple of days and-," the half demon stopped mid sentence violently remembering something.
