Tuesday morning.

When Luz woke up to her alarm, she sat up, rubbing her head. "Ugh.." Luz groaned, begrudgingly standing and stumbling towards her closet. "Ah geez.."

Luz stretched out, looking towards her bed, Ladybug flipping over to face the window. Luz opened her closet, gathering her clothes, entering the bathroom. She closed the door, locking it, "Time to get ready for the day.."

About fifteen minutes later, Luz was ready, just having to retrieve her necessities for Fencing. 'I have to call Amity..She has a lesson today..' Luz walked over to her couch, picking up her phone, dialing Amity's number.

'Prring! Prrrring!' Luz's heart dropped slightly, the brunette looking towards Ladybug. "..A..Amity..?" Luz lowered her phone. "That's crazy-- Psh- Amity's too cool to be Ladybug, she could be like-- I don't know someone cooler than Ladybug--"

Luz lightly scoffed, hanging up on Amity, then her heart sank further. 'But it fits..Ladybug coming in..Saying she was late when Amity wasn't here..'

"Luz."

The brunette flinched, looking to her kwami, "Hm-?"

"Whatever you're thinking, it's wrong." Plagg hissed. "Amity is not Ladybug. The person who just called her was her mom, I'll prove it."

Plagg flew over to Ladybug's phone, whizzing back over, showing off the recent calls, "Mom." Luz read. "Okay. Okay I..Yeah..J..Just a coincidence."

"If you find out her identity, you'll have to give me up." Plagg uttered. "And I hate to admit it, but you're my favorite holder..I don't want to lose you, Luz. Please, don't pursue trying to find out her identity.."

Luz nodded slowly, then sighed sharply, "But you know her identity. She isn't Amity?"

"No, she isn't."

Luz stayed silent for a second, "This would have made things easier.."

"Mm?"

"If she was Amity, it would have justified why I still love Ladybug.." Luz sighed quietly. "I have to get rid of these feelings."

"One step at a time."

Luz smiled softly, "One step at a time."

When Ladybug woke up, she was still in bed. Not her bed, but Luz's. "..." She gasped. "CRAP--"

Ladybug kicked the covers off, rushing to her bag where Tikki was, eating a cookie. "Mm--"

"Tikki--"

"Hi-" The kwami swallowed. "D..Did you need something..?"

"Yes! My alarm!!"

"It rings in like..Ten minutes.."

Ladybug paused, "It does?"

"Ladybug!!" Luz called out. "I have to get going!! Come get breakfast!!"

The bug flinched, swiping her bag up, "I'm coming!"

Luz and Ladybug had a quick breakfast together, then the heroine left after promising to make Luz something in return for her hospitality. Luz tried declining, that they were friends and it was fair, but she couldn't convince the bug.

So Luz went to Fencing practice very excited. Not only was she (probably) going to get a good luck letter from Amity, practice with her, and watch her improve!! She'd get a present from Ladybug. Yet. Her hope for the day died down when an akuma broke loose.
