Chat Noire came home with a- Guest. Luz had talked to Gorilla privately before letting him meet Ladybug, formerly. She detransformed, and greeted him. Gorilla nearly fainted, Amity was almost responsible for a funeral service.

They talked, Gorilla agreed, and Ladybug made something. A charm. She created it in a design that felt fitting for Gorilla, and left with Chat Noire, so they could break up. "Are you sure? We can always just, not tell my dad."

"I'm s..ure, if I di..e, I die." Chat Noire puffed out her chest. "I've got ni..ne lives y'know!"

Amity rolled her eyes, sighing, "Okay. But, maybe start with my mom.."

Chat nodded, the two entering Amity's room, going downstairs to the kitchen where Odalia was making brunch. "Ah! My future daughter in law! How I've missed you so-- Come sit! Brunch will be ready in a bit." Odalia used her knife to point to the seats.

The heroine gulped, looking to Amity, shaking her head slowly. "Mom..We need to talk.." Amity mumbled.

Odalia paused, looking back at them. She noticed the sorrowful gaze, softened, and nodded. She turned off the stove, setting down her knife and sitting with them at the table. "Talk to me."

Chat Noire lowered her head, "Mrs.Blight.."

"Oh Titan--" Odalia took in a sharp breath. "Not that codeword--Chat I told you--" Odalia sighed. "Sorry, it's okay. Continue.."

Chat swallowed, "We're breaking up.."

Odalia closed her eyes, taking in a slow, deep breath. "I'm going to have a heart attack--"

"Mom, it's okay- It's on..A good note..?" Amity tapped her chin.

Chat Noire shrugged, "Okay. Uh-- Papil..lion Jaune knows I love Amity. The reas..on I br..ke your wall yesterday was because the akuma thre..t..ed to uhm..Badly hurt, Amity..I prom..sed to pr..tect, yes?"

"Yeah.." Odalia mumbled.

"Breaking up is..Unfor..nately, our safest option..Odalia, please know..I love Amity..And you're still n..umber one mom! B..ut until Papillion Jaune is d..efeated, we..Can't be together anymore.."

Odalia took it all in, nodding slowly, "I suppose that means visits are over.. Doesn't it.."

"Uhm..Possibly.." Chat lowered her head. "Odalia..Once Papillion Jaune is defeated..I would ask you if it's..Okay to date Amity again.."

Odalia looked across at her, a bit shaken, but functional. "So I'm assuming you two talked about this, beforehand..?"

Amity and Chat Noire nodded. "I knew she was doing it to protect me, and I can't envy her for it..We..We both need a little time..And we'll still act like we're together til it dwindles down and we're okay to leave eachother til..Papillion Jaune is defeated.." Amity mumbled.

Odalia thought for a second, "Hm."

"Hm?" Chat rose a brow. "Hm, what? Wh..at does that mean?"

"I'm going to go murder someone."

Chat jumped up, "Huh--"

"Not you, Sweetie. I still love you." Odalia waved her down. "Alright. How can I help you find Papillion Jaune?"

Odalia has been given the warrants, now she has things to do while she either waits for an update on the AmiNoire story she's reading, for something to finish baking, or y'know, something. Alador was called, explained the situation, Chat felt like she was being choked.

Don't know why, but it was surreal. He relented, knew it was for the best, and sent the two his regards and hoped they'd be together soon. Edric and Emira did try to throw some hands. Were tackled and pinned to the ground by Amity who growled something not so kind-

Ghost was happy to hear the news, picked up one of her toys, gave it to Chat and mewed, farwell! Ghost was grounded.

After that, came the hard part. How to let everyone know they'd break up, so Papillion Jaune would leave them alone. "Oh I know!!" Amity hit her fist on her palm.

"That was cute, please always do that." Chat kissed her head.

Amity giggled, "If I remember to. Alright! Meet me at that tall statue, with the man that nobody knows?"

"I do know him, Ho..n. His name is Philip Whittebane. He's our manufacturer. Well, mine. He makes my clothes." Chat shook her head. "Just go. I'll m..eet you there."

. . .Chat Noire felt terrible. :,D Amity had gone to the guardian, asked to borrow the fox miraculous, got scolded by Trixx, and casted an illusion. Cause she kinda..She kinda needed to cause a scene..

Luz took Amity home, a bit shaken, but was assured things would be better this way. She transformed again to settle in the comfort that yes, she was still in fact dating Amity. "Mmr..Mmmrrrr.." Chat purred, nuzzling into Amity's chest.

"How are you doing Hon?" Amity asked, kissing her head.

"S..orry.." Chat mumbled.

"Minou, it's okay..Love, I promise you it's okay. Look, I'm still here! We're still together, Luz, it's okay.."

The kitten huffed, hiding her face in the crook of Amity's neck, whining. "It wasn't all that bad." Tikki smiled. "You had a great performance Chat!"

"Hmph-"

"Chat.."

"Tikki, spots on."

"Wait wh--"

"Minou." Ladybug said sternly.

The heroine cowered, "M'Lady.." She mumbled.

"The more you sulk the less cuddles you get."

Chat yowled softly, shaking her head, "Bugaboo~"

Ladybug giggled as it tickled her ear, squeezing the kitten, "What's wrong you pouty kitty?~"

"Loove meee~"

"I am loving you! You just have to stop sulking Mon Chat." Ladybug kissed her head. "Mon Minou~~"

She giggled, shuddering, her tail wagging swiftly, the tip glowing green. The metal notches glew green, the heroine's purrs growing as she nuzzled up. She sneezed, a small green ball flying out the tip of her tail, hitting her table lamp.

The two looked over at it, the lamp going black before wilting and disintegrating. "What the fu-"
