THE GROUP WAS ASTONISHED

THE GROUP WAS ASTONISHED. THEY hadn't expected the old junk of a car to have a secret lever that, when pulled, revealed a gunner seat. It was all too much for the teens to understand: the phenomenal Cadillac Trevor had recently repaired and the hunger-driven ghost pulling the small, Oklahoma town to pieces as they knew it. What could they do? They were only kids.

"Guys . . ." Phoebe stuttered as she looked down at the seat with nerves tingling through her skin. She hadn't meant for it to happen, she was only curious as to what the lever did. She didn't expect to be thrown out of the vehicle infront of the supernatural being they knew close to nothing about.

"It has a gunner seat?" Podcast almost screamed. He was astounded.

"What the hell is happening?" Athena mumbled under her breath as her eyes glanced over the girl in the hovering seat, taking in her nervous expression and anxious aura pulsating off of her skin. "Be careful, all right?"

Phoebe nodded before gulping and glancing up from her fidgeting hands. Her pupils locked onto the monster across the street, and little did she know, said ghost had caught sight of her in the reflection of a window in a nearby store. It turned around before letting out a horrendous screech, opening the hatch on the hydrant before flying away.

"Go! Go! Go!" Phoebe shouted as she adjusted her grip on the contraption in her hands, watching the water splutter out of the outlet and soaking the middle of the road. The group chased after the being with Phoebe trying to catch the ghost in her electric stream, but failed numerous times. It was when she hit the cinema sign that it faced them. That was when they truly realized what they were in for.

It began shooting what seemed to be bullets at them from out of it's blue mouth, causing them all to scream as Trevor started to swerve the car in an attempt to protect them. After the monster turned back around to focus on fleeing the destructive group, the boy in control of the vehicle spared a glance at the teen beside him.

"Are you alright?" He asked her worriedly, his eyes continuously darting between the road, the ghost, and the girl beside him.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. You?" She questioned him back, taking a deep breath to help her voice recover from her screams of fright.

"I'm good," he replied breathlessly. They watched from the safety of the car as Phoebe caught the monster in her stream, a tangle of blue and orange electricity wrapping around the ghost's slimy, blue skin.

"Trap him!" She called out to her friend, who was busy trying to drive a robotic trap underneath the flying ghost.

"Come on! Keep it straight!" Podcast instructed Trevor impatiently as he drove the small trap on the bumpy road.

"You try driving this thing!" Trevor retorted smartly as he leant forward to slightly increase his concentration.

"It's there, over there!" Athena shouted as the creature turned down a different street. Trevor harshly spun the wheel so he could follow the creature, choosing to ignore the yells of complaints coming from the kids behind him.
