Marcus's POV

"You know what? I give up! I'm gonna fail Lin's class!" I whine and look over at Billy. He rolls his eyes, taking a huge gulp of soda. I sigh and lay my head on my forearms.

"I can help you," a small voice says and I look up. A short, pretty girl is standing in front of me with her arms crossed and a smile on her lips. I think her name is y/n. I've seen her around before and my friends mention her sometimes. She's very quiet, but apparently she's the smartest person in the school.

"Please. That would be amazing. Thank you so much!" She smiles and I sit up straighter. "I'll meet you in the study hall after class." I nod and she walks away. Billy turns to me with a grin on his face.

"Dude, y/n just willingly gave you extra classes. I've been trying to get some for a year! What's your secret?" I laugh at him as the bell rings and I grab my books, heading for the next class.

Time Skip

I stand outside the study hall as I see y/n approaching. I wave at her and we find a table in the corner, it was the only one left.

"So, what are you struggling with?" she asks, taking out books from her bag. "Chapter two, three and five." Her eyebrows raise slightly. "It's going to be a long semester."

I chuckle and take out my books and she begins explaining the main idea of chapter two. I watch her hair fall in her face and how concentrated she is. She looks kinda cute when she's focusing.

Shit Marcus. Pull yourself together.

One Month Later

Y/n and I have met three times a week every week for the last month and the last few sessions we mostly talked about ourselves than the actual work. My test results are much better and I feel more relaxed about the work.

I don't necessarily need the classes anymore, I just like spending time with y/n. Sometimes I purposefully ask her to explain something again just so that I can have see her for a few minutes longer.

"Marcus? Are you even paying attention to me?" Y/n giggles and I stare at her. She's so pretty when she smiles.

"Yeah. Has anyone ever told you how cute you are when you're focused?" She giggles and I smile at her. "Has anyone ever told you that you need to focus more?"

We both stay quiet for a few seconds longer when she says, "Fuck this." She leans forward and we kiss. It's the best kiss I've ever had. She's so warm and sweet and I can't get enough of her.

I put my hand around the back of her neck, pulling her forward.

She pulls away and I smile at her. "Wanna get out of here?" I ask her and she nods. "You understand this shit anyways."
