"M.k look out!" You shouted rushing over to him.

"Y/n NO!" Macaque yelled just moments too late. His attack meant for M.k hit Y/n square in the back. She was thrown forward and slammed into the wall like a rag doll.

"Y/n!" Macaque dropped his staff and  raced to her side. "No,no,no,no, no!" He growled panickedly watching blood seep from her back and multiple cuts along her arms.

"Macaque leave her alone!" M.k demanded rushing over.

Macaque tuned him out and picked Y/n up disappearing into the shadows. Once a good distance away, Macaque took her to his place silently cursing her bleeding heart.

Y/n was friends with M.k. and had warned Macaque that she would intervene should he threaten the Monkie Kid.

Macaque knew she meant it, but he wasn't actually threatening M.k. he knew the kid could take it. And what's more his attacks were careful enough that they wouldn't even hurt the kid. But Y/n on the other hand. Y/n they could kill.

"Why do humans have to be so delicate?!" He growled laying her on the couch and grabbing a first aid kit.

You stirred and groaned as he bandaged up your back.

"Macaque? What happened?...I feel like I got hit by a truck."

Macaque sighed as he worked on your arms.

"In a manner of speaking, you were." He informed annoyedly.

"What do you mean?" You sat up but a sharp pain tore through your back. This made you plummet back onto the cushions.

"You got in the way of training the kid." Macaque scolded with an angry tone.

Suddenly you remembered the altercation and frowned.

"I told you not to attack him."

"No, you said not to threaten him. I was training him. He needs to be ready." Macaque corrected.

"For what? And you call that training?!"

You threw out your arm for emphasis.

Macaque pinned your arm against the couch and continued to bandage it.

"That he could take. You on the other hand," Macaque leaned down where you could see him. "You could have died."

You huffed.

"Does M.k know that's considered training?"

Macaque sighed.

"We have an understanding. And if he asks I usually tell him my motivations. Now," Macaque knelt next to the couch and took your chin in hand. "You are going to stay here and let me take care of you until this is healed. And then you are going to promise me you will never do this again. Are we clear?"

You huffed.

"Only if you promise to make your training sessions clear from now on."

Macaque grinned maliciously.

"Here's the thing, I can enforce my end. Can you?"

You shot him a glare.

"I don't know, you really think you can stop me from pulling this again?"

Macaque groaned.

"Fine. But you are definitely not leaving until I decide you have healed enough."

You nodded with a smile.

"Okay."

Macaque sighed and tugged you against his chest.

"You scared me kid. I thought I was going to lose you for a second there."

You buried your face into his chest and returned the hug comfortingly.

"I'm sorry Mac, I really didn't mean to."

Macaque squeezed you gently so as to not harm your wounds any further. And you could tell he was reaffirming that you were still there. Still alive, and that he still wasn't alone.

So, you squeezed back to remind him that you weren't going anywhere as long as you could help it.

After he has calmed down you two decided to turn on a movie to ease some of the tension.
