Mariah's POV.
Me and Page have been great together. Really, it's been 2 weeks already, and I truly think I'm in love with her.
But, Aniya.
I do think about her really, I do, but not very often... and we've been distant recently. She's been acting a little weird this week. And I feel like she's hiding something. I mean, I am too but, I don't know. I think I'm gonna talk to her today after school.
But mean while, me and Page skip class just to make out in the bathroom stall. And maybe do other things too, but rarely. But god, I loved being with her. Our relationship and me being with her made me forget about everything. I really do love her, and I think this could really work out. But first... I have to talk to Aniya.
I go to her room after school and I see her on the phone. I just patiently wait for her to be done.
She finally hangs up the phone. "Hey, I'm so sorry. It was just plumbing service. Anyway, what's up? How are you?"
"Hey... I'm good. What about you?"
"I'm..." she hesitated. "Alright. Anyway... what brings you here?"
"Nothing, I just wanted to... talk."
"Oh?" She puts her phone on her desk. "About?"
I sigh. "Us. What even are we right now, Aniya? You aren't telling me something, I know it. Why can't you just tell me what's going on? We are so distant, it's kind of killing me."
She just sat there, silent. "There's just... a lot of stuff going on in my life right now, that I can't really tell you."
I sit down and put my hand on hers. "Aniya! You can tell me anything. You can trust me, you know. Please, tell me what's going on."
She looks at me, eyebrows downturned about to cry.
"Uhm." Her voice breaks, as she try's her hardest to not let the tears forming in her eyes fall. "Me and Grace are getting a divorce." She forces a smile along with a small forced laugh, then quickly turns to a saddened face.
My eyes widen as I move back slightly.
"Wh-what? Why, what happened? Did she-"
"Yea, she did. She found out about us. Which, I only have one person in mind who would tell her. Page. It's obviously her, Mariah. Who else would it be?"
I thought about it for a second, and I didn't believe she would do that. Not to me...
"Aniya, it wasn't Page. Believe me."
"How do you know that, and why are you defending her?"
I just sit there and stare at her. And I say nothing.
"Mariah, is there something I should know?"
"No? It's just... look. I just feel like it wasn't Page. That's all."
"Then who the hell would it be, Mariah? Literally the only person that knows, that's not us, is Page. Who else?"
"Look... I don't know okay? We'll figure it out. But..." I looked at my phone, and I had got a text from Page saying she's in the bathroom waiting for me. "I have to go... I'm so sorry... and I hope you and your wife will get through this."
"Thank you. Hopefully."
I smile, then stand up to go but then she stops me.
"Wait. I know something is going on with you too. So tell me, what's going on?"
I just stand there, shrug, and put on a fake smile. "Nothing. I promise. Everything is fine, really. I'll see you later."
"O-okay..."
I then pull in to kiss her, in which feels like months, but it did feel good. I felt somewhat guilty, so I pull away.
She smiles.
"I'll see you later, okay?"
She tilts her head. "Okay... bye."
"Bye."
I finally leave the room and rush to the bathroom whilst Page is waiting for me.
I knock on the stall we make out in, and she lets me in.
"Hey you. What took you so long?" She asked.
"Nothing i just had to talk with Aniya. It's nothing." I then started to kiss her neck. She moans softly in pleasure, then I move up to her lips. I smile while kissing her. She smiles as well, making it harder for us to continue kissing one another.
We both giggle slightly, and I push her lightly against the stall. She moans, while still smiling. She then pulls away, arms around my neck. "Okay... what we're you two talking about?"
I sigh. "Babe, I'll tell you later. A bathroom stall is not good privacy."
She hums in response. "Yea. You're right." She agreed while smiling. We make out for another good 20 minutes maybe, then finally stop when the bell rings. We go out of the stall, pretending nothing happened, smile at each other and walk out.
We go out separate doors, but meet in her car. We both hurry and sit in the car. "So," Page says with a glow in her eyes "what were you and 'Aniya' talking about?" She said smiling at the fact of using her name for the first time.
I let out a small sigh. "She... she told me that she and her wife and getting a divorce, due to her finding out about us."
Page looks at me in sheer shock. "What?"
"Page... did you do something?"
"Excuse me? No, Mariah I didn't. And I would never hurt you like that. I don't even know her or her wife, Mariah. You know that."
"True... but I really wish she hadn't told me that. Especially today." I say as I lean back in my seat.
"What do you mean?"
"I..." I turn over to her. "I was going to break up with her today."
