Chapter 7

Luke's pov

I was searching through Clary and Aria's room and putting stuff in the box so they could not be tracked. I heard someone walking and I quickly pulled out my gun and aimed it at them. It was Dot and I put my gun away.

"Where's Clary?" I said

"Where's my daughter Aria?" I said

"What happened to them?" I said

"We sent them through a portal to you" Dot said

"You sent them through a portal? Alone?" I said

"They could be in limbo" I said

"Well, I didn't have much of a choice" Dot said

"I stayed to help Jocelyn fight Valentine's men" Dot said

"And I got thrown through a plate glass window" Dot said

"Who do you think glamoured the house so that the mundane police wouldn't be alerted?" Dot said

"Where's Clary and my daughter? And where's Jocelyn?" I said

"You never gave a damn about your daughter before, why now?" She said

"I always have, I have protected her and stayed by her side from day one, now answer the question" I growled

"And protecting her is lying to her?" Dot said

"She was not ready for this world or Clary" I said

"Now where are they?" I said

"I don't know" She said

"All I know is that I sent Clary and Aria to the police station" Dot said

"To you" She said

"And what exactly are you doing with all that stuff?" She said

"I cannot have anybody tracking Clary or my daughter" I said

"Including you" I said

"What's that supposed to mean?" Dot said

"It means that this stuff is going back to the station with me, where it's safe." I said

She started to walk off.

"Where are you going?" I said

"To find Clary and Aria. They'll come for them next." Dot said

"If anyone can help, its Magnus Bane" Dot said

"Dot" I said

"What?" She said

"You can't trust anybody" I said

She looked at me.

"You're absolutely right" She said and walked off

Simon's pov

I was sitting on the bed waiting for Isabella to bring me breakfast. All I could think about was Clary. I cannot believe she likes me back. I am going to find the chance to ask her out, when the time is right. All I could think about was her. She is so beautiful, kind, funny, daring and I love her. I cannot stop thinking about how beautiful she looked in that dress. But I felt jealous that this Jace guy got to see her like that. But he looked to be infatuated with Aria. I also worried if she was safe and Aria. I hope they are ok.

Isabelle came in and put the breakfast down and giggled.

"So, um... what happens to humans if they're runed?" I said

"They usually die" She said drinking and putting the glass down

"Sometimes they go crazy. When that happens, we call them the Forsaken." She said
