Chapter 3

Maddy awoke the next morning to a sickening feeling and ran to the bathroom knowing that it was morning sickness. As she started to throw up she heard a soft knock on the door "Go away" she tried to say before another wave of nausea hit her. "Are you alright in there" she recognized the voice instantly. It was Draco. "I'm totally fine she said taking a deep breath and shakily standing up. She opened the door and saw Draco standing there with a worried expression plastered onto his usually calm face. "I'm perfectly fine" Maddy assured him "Okay.. Well I was wondering if maybe you'd like to go on a picnic with me this afternoon?" He asked nervously with these adorable puppy dog eyes. She smiled "It would be my pleasure" she said with a wink.

Draco was sitting on a red and white checkered blanket near the whomping willow when he saw Maddy walking over. The sight of her took his breath away and he smiled a lopsided grin. She was wearing a vintage looking black and white polka dot dress with white keds and cherry red lipstick. Her long brown hair was curled and pinned up in the back with a white lace bow.

Maddy walked over to the checkered blanket and sat down as gracefully as she could which was sadly not very graceful. She looked over at Draco and saw him smiling over at her with a dreamy look in his eyes. "What on earth are you smiling about" she questioned looking over at him as if he were an alien since he hardly ever smiled like that. "Oh I don't know it's a beautiful day and im lucky to be sitting here with such a beautiful girl" he said with a flirty wink. "Umm okay whatever you say" Maddy said inspecting him for any head injuries or signs of trama. "What! Can I not just be happy to be with you!" He exclaimed giving her a kiss in the cheek. "Okay... So what's for lunch cause I'm starving Maddy said with a groan.

Draco laughed and pulled ham and cheese sandwiches out of a wicker basket and last but not least a giant chocolate cake with pink icing. "You made me a cake!" She said surprised at the fact that he could even cook. "Well duh you can't have a picnic without cake." He said as if it were obvious. Maddy giggled and dug in eating the cake first of course.

Maddy and Draco talked and laughed for hours. Draco suddenly stood up and offered Maddy his hand. "Will you dance with me?" He asked "of course good sir!" Maddy said giggling. Draco spun Maddy around and around until they both fell onto the grass laughing hysterically. Draco looked over at Maddy and realized how beautiful she truly was he reached over and gently moved a stray hair out of her face. He leaned in and kissed her softly on the lips expecting her to kiss back but instead she forcefully pushed him away.

"I-I can't" she cried "Not after Fred just dieing and everything happening so fast! It's just too much!" She said. She stood up and started running towards the castle crying. "Maddy wait!" Draco yelled but it was too late she was already almost there. He ran his hand through his touseld white blonde hair and sat down with a sigh.

When Maddy gut to her room she threw herself onto the bed and started sobbing. "Stupid hormones!" She moaned into a pillow. She heard a soft knock on her door "Go away!" She said through tears. "Just listen to me" Draco pleaded "No!" She shouted. She didn't hear a reply so she assumed he had left. She looked up to see if she could see his feet under the crack in her door but saw a letter instead. She stood up wiping away her tears and bent down to pick it up. It was a cream envelope with her name scrawled in beautiful cursive letters on the front with a heart. She opened it carefully and gasped when she saw what was written.

Maddy felt tears prick her eyes and she quickly opened the door to go find Draco but found him sitting against the wall outside her door. "I can't believe you write this for me!" She gasped "I mean every word of it" he said with a sigh " But you obviously don't feel the same way". "That's not true! I just...If I told you something you would change your mind" She said looking down at her feet. Draco stood up and said "I'll love you no matter what I don't care what it is. Just tell me". Maddy took a deep breath "I'm pregnant with Fred's baby"
