Her Secret

Untitled Part 18

Authors note: Sorry the last chapter was so short I've just been rather busy lately but I promise this one will be longer.

Maddy gasped as she watched Draco burst into the room with murder in his eyes. "Get away from her!" He shouted as he took out his wand. "Imperio!" He said as he forced George to cross the room over to a dresser where a knife lay. Draco made him pick it up. "No please don't.." George struggled to say as he began to drag the blade across his wrists. "Stop!" George cried but Draco smiled and made the cuts even deeper. George fell to the floor crying as his life force drained out of him but he still continued to cut. "Draco stop that's enough!" Maddy said going to his side and placing her hand on his wand. "Fine" he snarled and left George on the floor in a puddle of blood. "Are you okay?" He said worriedly all the anger gone from his voice. "Yeah I'm fine..just slightly frazzled" she said. "Come on let's go home" he said giving her a hug and then they apparated out.

When Draco and Maddy arrived back at Hogwarts they were greeted by a whirlwind of hugs and worried faces. It was Lily, Leah, and Arianna. "Where on earth have you been!?!" Lily demanded giving her friend a hug. "Are you alright? Are you hurt? Did something happen??" Arianna said breaking Lily and Maddys embrace and giving her a hug, then assessing her for possible injuries. "Guys give her a chance to respond before freaking out" Leah chuckled a little before going back to looking concerned. "I'm alright, really I am...I'm just rather tired so would it be alright if I head up to bed?" Maddy said apologetically. "Of course" they all said simultaneously. "As long as you promise to explain later" Arianna added. "Of course" Maddy smiled, then gave them each a hug and headed up the stairs with Draco.

Maddy was so exhausted, both mentally, and physicaly, that she flopped down on Dracos soft bed the minute she walked through the door. Draco soon joined her.  After a few minutes of silence Draco turned to her and said "I'm so happy your alright". "Me too" Maddy said not understanding the significance of what he was saying. Draco turned her face towards him and she was surprised to see tears in his eyes. "No I really mean it. I don't know what I'd do without you...I think I'd rather die then be without you" He said his voice breaking. "I promise I'll never leave you, okay?" Maddy said giving him a gentle kiss. "Okay" Draco said holding her close. They fell asleep holding eachother.

The next day Maddy woke up to warm sunshine streaming through the curtains a Dracos smiling face. "Hi" she smiled "Hey" he replied kissing her forehead "I have a surprise for you" he declared. "What is it!?" Madfy exclaimed nearly jumping off the bed. "If I told you then it wouldn't be a surprise" Draco said with a devilish grin. Maddy huffed and threw a pillow at him. "Will you at least give me a hint?" She pleaded. "Nope, but I can tell you to meet me tonight at the Whomping Willow" he laughed and then ran out the ddo or before she could respond.
