Wild's POV

I was immediately surrounded in people.

I lost sight of Legend and Twilight not long after. My panic levels began to rise.

I got an elbow to the gut, a foot to my shin, I was being pushed around by people who didn't even know I was there.

I tried to force my way through the crowd, looking for my lost comrades.

All the while keeping a hand firmly on my hood.

I was shoved toward a vendor selling spring water. I just gave myself time to acknowledge that it was a Goron before setting off again.

I ducked peoples arms and dodged running kids.

Too many people too many people too many people! My mind began to shout at me.

My breaths got shorter and louder. My heart beat in my ears.

"Legend!" I shouted at the top of my breathless lungs. "Twilight!" My voice cracked.

A woman bent down before me, blocking my path. Which caused me to skid to a desperate stop in front of her.

"Are you lost sweetie?" She asked. "I can help you if you want."

She reached out a hand causing me to simultaneously flinch away and grab for my Sheikah slate, causing my hood to fall down.

The woman's eyes widened as she took in my scars.

I took her momentary distraction to slip away away from her.

At least that's one good thing about crowds. I thought ruefully.

When I was sure I was far away from the woman, I began to call out for my friends again. Growing more and more desperate.

I paused I the middle of the crowd.

People kept jostling me as they moved about their day. Not caring about a lost, hyperventilating boy.

I stumbled to my knees. Tears clouded my vision as I tried to calm myself down, but ultimately failed.

My heart was beating so loudly, I was surprised someone hadn't called out a earthquake.

I stayed frozen on the ground.

I got kicked from every which way, but I didn't stand up. I couldn't. My eyes were still glued to the ground.

I heard a familiar noise behind my heartbeat.

I saw a familiar flash of red beyond the tears.

I didn't resist when a pair of strong, yet gentle, arms lifted me off of the ground.

Distance and time seemed relative to me now.

So I didn't care to count how long and how far the man carried me, but all I know is that I was set down in a quiet alley.

Hands came to rest on my shoulders, steeling me and encouraging me to look up.

It was Legend. Pink hair and all.

"Breathe." Legend said kindly. He took a hand off my shoulder and moved it up and down with his breaths in demonstration.

I copied him.

It was hard at first, but after Hylia knows how long, my heart had slid back down to my chest and my initial panic had left my bones.

"Thanks." I breathed.

Legend gave a pained smile, as if reliving old memories he didn't want to relive. "Anytime."

I looked around the alley we were in.

A small staircase led up to the only way out and a opening in the far wall created a hallway to an unknown place.

"Where's Twilight?" I asked.

"Dunno." Legend said. "Lost him in the crowd not long after I lost you."

"Can you go find him?" I asked.

Legend nodded. "We won't be able to make heads or tails of this place without him."

Legend nodded once more to me before standing up and leaving.

When he was gone, I lifted a hand to my chest, feeling the now slow beating of my heart.

I hadn't had a panic attack that bad since... since the champions revealed themselves. I thought.

The Champions' spirits had made their existences known a few months after I freed Naboris.

I had had a panic attack when realized I hadn't been alone for a while and they always there.

"We're sorry." Mipha said, as if she could read my thoughts.

"Wild!" Twilight engulfed me in a hug.

Normally, I would've pulled away, but like with Legend, I found myself leaning into his touch.

"I should've known you were missing!" He exclaimed. "I'm sorry, I know you don't like strangers."

Guilt was written all over the Rancher's face.

"It's okay." I said softly as he pulled away. "You should thank Legend for helping with my panic attack."

Twilight looked even guiltier at that but turned and thanked Legend.

"Anytime." Legend repeated.

"How did you know how to help?" I asked, genuinely curious.

"I had a friend who would have panic attack from time to time..." Legend trailed off, gaze fixed on the sky.

"Well," Twilight said, pulling us from the awkward silence. "I know a place we can stay until the crowds die out."

I felt a tang of fear of going through that crowd again.

"Don't worry." Twilight said, seeing my expression. "It's actually right over there."

He gestured to the opening into wall.

When we walked down it, we saw it ended in a door.

"Telma's Bar?" I asked, using knowledge of Twilight's language to good use.

He nodded proudly.

"My friends used to meet here." Twilight said, grabbing the door handle. "I'm sure they'd love to meet you."

Twilight pushed open the door.
