Wind's POV

We learned that the pink Rito was named Saki, her husband Teba, and their son, Tulin.

They were like Wild's family.

Not like. The Rito actually adopted Wild.

What happened to his real family? I didn't have the heart to ask.

Saki had tended to all of our wounds (Four had a sprained ankle) and fed us.

I had Rito in my time, and it was fun to see how they evolved.

We stayed there for a week, not wanting to leave, but not wanting to stay too long.

Eventually, we bade the Rito goodbye and set off again. We got our horses out of the stable and followed Wild to where he though a monster camp was.

But, we never made it.

Wild stopped in the middle of the road.

We stopped behind him. Twilight though, rode up so he was next to him.

"Wild!" He said, waving his hand in front of his face.

Wild just tilted his head and kept looking forward. He was worrying us all now.

Wild raised his hands and signed something, but I couldn't tell what it was from my vantage point.

Twilight's brows furrowed. "Hear what?"

Wild signed something again in response.

Twilight looked surprised now. He looked back to us. "He says he senses Hylia."

"What?"

"How?"

Time signaled for us to be quiet as he and Four rode up to Twilight's other side.

He opened his mouth to say something, but before he could, a dark purple portal appeared. It was where Wild was staring.

How did he know that that was where the portal was going to appear?

I wanted to ask him about it but stopped when a familiar smell reached my nose.

Salt water.

It was coming from the portal.

I dismounted from in front of Warriors and rushed up to the portal. The others shouted after me, all dismounting.

I stopped just before the portal and turned to them. A large, goofy smile was on my face.

"What's that for?" Four said suspiciously.

"Don't you smell it?"

They exchanged glances. "No..." Time said.

"The ocean!" I shouted. "We're going to the Great Sea! I'm going home!"

Warriors smiled at me and patted me on the shoulder. "That's good kid. Let's see this 'Great Sea' of yours."

Warriors took my hand. The others began to pair up as well. Wars and I turned back to the portal and we're about to step in, when Twilight spoke up.

"What about the horses?"

Right.

Wild walked up to Adira and whispered something in her ear. She seemed to nod. She whinnied and began to walk back in the direction of the stable, the others behind her.

Epona nuzzled Twilight one more time before following.

Time looked at Wild, eyebrow raised in question.

'I told Adira to take the horses and go back to the stable. They'll take care of them while we're gone.' Wild signed.

We nodded.

Twilight grabbed Legend's hand then reached out to Wild, invitingly.

Wild looked at him curiously.

"We always go through portals like this." He explained. "In case we get separated."

Wild nodded to show he understood. He hesitantly grabbed Twilight's hand, but stood at a distance.

Time looked forward at nodded at us.

That was our signal. I walked through the portal, barely containing my excitement.

Here's a pro-tip in case you ever go through a portal. Don't do it if you don't like,

A) Suffocating darkness

B) The feeling that your body's being reduced to atoms

and C) Cold

Well I didn't like any of that.

I always felt awkward and dizzy after exiting one, but the thought that I would soon be seeing my sister again, kept me going.

When we left the portal it seemed like I wasn't on solid ground.

At first I thought it was just a side-effect, then I opened my eyes and saw that we were high above a ocean.

I snapped my eyes closed again. I screamed in equal parts fear, and shock.

Warriors pulled me in a tight embrace as we fell. He put himself underneath me.

A few moments later, we plunged into the cold blue sea.

I opened my eyes.

Warriors was still holding me, but had passed out from the collision.

Thankfully we didn't fall from higher, or he might not be unconscious.

I held on to the Captain and began to kick my legs and propel us to the surface.

I distantly heard the others splash into the ocean.

Finally, I breached the surface. I gulped in the salty air, gasping. Warriors startled awake.

He looked guilty about how bad his luck was so far.

(A/N: I promise I don't hate him.)

A ladder splashed into the water.

I looked up to see a boat had come.

Wars and I began to climb one by one. The others followed behind us.

Warriors helped me fully board the vessel.

I scanned the deck, looking for a familiar face. And there it was.

I left Warriors and rushed up to Tetra. I engulfed her in a hug before she could say anything.

She didn't do anything to try to push me away. Which I counted as a win.

I pulled away and began to talk excitedly, telling her about what had happened since I last saw her.

Tetra smiled down on me. (So what she was a few inches taller than me, shut up.)

"I'm sorry to interrupt the reunion," Time spoke up. I looked over at him. "But where are Wild, Twilight, and Legend?"
